Detailed description
With reference to the annexed figures, 1 globally and schematically indicates an assemblable modular element of a construction toy according to the present invention.
The assemblable modular element 1 is realised with such a thickness as to be able to take and maintain an erect of however vertical position in an autonomous way, i.e. without the support or the connection with further assemblable modular elements.
According to the present invention, an assemblable modular element 1 of said construction toy essentially comprises a first portion 2 and a second portion 3 associated in an head-to-tail arrangement, pivoted with each other and "freely" angularly shiftable around the pivoting axis.
Advantageously, each assemblable modular element 1 is provided, in correspondence with the free end of the first portion 2 and in correspondence with the free end of the second portion 3, with first "flat sole feet" 4 being coplanar with each other and respectively with opposite second "flat sole feet" 5, also being coplanar with each other.
Still advantageously, both the above first flat sole feet 4 and the second flat sole feet 5 are two and they extend on planes being parallel with each other.
According to the invention, the flat sole feet 4, 5 have parallelogram section and each of them is provided with a groove or furrow 6, of prefixed depth and width, extended along a middle or barycentric line. In particular, each groove 6 is extended, on each flat sole foot 4, 5, in correspondence with the above middle line, along a direction h being orthogonal to the direction defining the above thickness.
According to a preferred embodiment, the assemblable modular element 1 of the construction toy according to the present invention has the shape of a human figure with a profile comprising, in correspondence with the first portion 2, two distinct legs 7, in correspondence with the second portion 3 two distinct arms 8, which extend from a torso or trunk 9 and a head 10 associated with said trunk 9 or being integrally provided with it.
The assemblable modular element 1 is realised with such a prefixed thickness as to be substantially plate-like.
Preferably, both the flat sole feet 4 provided by the first portion 2 and the opposite flat sole feet 5 the second portion 3 is provided with have the same shape with parallelogram section and the same surface area; moreover, the distance which separates the above first flat sole feet 4 from each other is equal to the distance which separates the second flat sole feet 5 from each other.
The assemblable modular element 1 is further provided, in correspondence with the above head 10, which has a substantially spherical shape, with two eyes 10a. Preferably, each eye 10a has the shape of a hollow, closed semi-shell, at least partially transparent in the curve portion thereof, comprising inside a movable element with spherical shape.
Still further, the toy construction according to the invention comprises, as accessory, a gymnastic group 20.
The above gymnastic group 20 includes supporting means 21 among which at least one connection element 22 is supported in suspension, being it of substantially elongated shape, and balancing means 30 also of substantially elongated shape.
Advantageously, both the connection element 22 and the balancing means 30 are realised with such a prefixed, suitable thickness as to allow the housing thereof in the grooves 6, provided on the flat sole feet 4, 5 of an assemblable modular element 1.
This housing realises a coupling of the free running type between a groove 6 and the connection element 22 or between a groove 6 and the balancing means 30. In a preferred embodiment of the gymnastic group 20, the supporting means are two posts or poles 21, associated in correspondence with one end 21a thereof with a same, common base 21b, with respect to which they all project on a same side and they are connected with each other near an opposite end 21c thereof, from the above connection element realised with the shape of a bar 22, having the above prefixed suitable thickness to substantially constitute an equilibrium path, of the type of a suspended equilibrium bar or rope.
And still the balancing means 30 are a flexible rod 31 having the above prefixed, suitable thickness and also having the two ends associated with the respective load elements 32 preferably realised with a spherical shape to substantially form an balance rocker.
It is to be noted, in relation with what has been above described, that an assemblable modular element 1 of a construction toy according to the present invention can be used in combination with a plurality of other assemblable modular elements 1, besides in combination with the gymnastic group 20. In particular the construction toy with assemblable modular elements 1 according to the present invention, when being used, allows to stack these assemblable modular elements 1 with each other in an infinite possibility of combinations. This thanks to the flat sole feet 4, 5 which allow a vertical or however erect placement of a single modular element 1 besides the stackabiliry thereof.
Moreover, the construction toy according to the present invention, allows to obtain combinations of modular elements 1, intended as different ways of stacking the same, which can advantageously extend in any direction, i.e. with "tree ramifications"; this thanks to each assemblable modular element 1 which, comprising the two portions 2, 3, associated and freely, angularly shiftable, allows to place the first flat sole feet 4 along any orientation relatively to the second flat sole feet 5.
In a further use mode of the construction toy, the assemblable modular elements 1 can be vertically arranged, at close range one behind the other, composing spectacular figures for obtaining the so called "domino effect". With the combined use of the assemblable modular elements 1 and of the gymnastic group 20 of the construction toy according to the present
invention, it is possible to obtain and develop further combinations of the same elements 1.
An assemblable modular element 1, in fact, can be placed on the equilibrium bar or rope 22, for example resting on the first flat sole feet 4 and in particular resting through the grooves 6 provided on these flat sole feet 4 and it can maintain an equilibrium position on the rope 22 thanks to the effect of the rocker 30 which is advantageously housed, in its rodlike portion 31, in the grooves 6 provided in the second flat sole feet 5.
Being balanced on the rope 22, an assemblable modular .element 1 preserves its own stackabiliiy function thanks to the fact that the grooves 6 are provided with prefixed width and depth and they are such as to house the balancing means 30 without modifying the functionality and efficiency of the flat sole feet, which integrally preserve the original resting flat section thereof.
And still, a single assemblable modular element 1 being balanced on the rope 22 can be pushed, in order to "run" along the whole rope 22 section in an equilibrium path to imitate the spectacular paths wherein acrobats, rope-walkers and tumblers in general try out.
What has been said is made possible thanks to the grooves 6 of prefixed and suitable width and depth, provided on the flat sole feet 4, 5 through which a coupling of the free running type is realised with the rope or bar 22.
This free running coupling practically allows to shift with a continuous movement a modular element 1 being balanced on the rope 22.
The movement can be obtained by pushing the modular element 1 simultaneously maintaining, while shifting, the balance thereof on the rope 22. The main advantage of the construction toy according to the present invention stays in the possibility of obtaining infinite combinations of assemblable modular elements 1 without any limit apart from those imposed by the skill and fantasy of the user. This thanks to the above functional characteristics each assemblable modular element 1 has, which do not impose restrictions to the constructions obtainable from the same, leaving the range of the possible combinations of the stackable elements 1 free from any constraint and allowing to freely create and compose suggestive constructions and compositions.
A further advantage of the construction toy according to the present invention stays in that it provides a multifunctional toy obtained by the combination of assemblable modular elements 1 and of the gymnastic group 20, thanks to which different types of playing activities are allowed as previously shown.
And still the construction toy according to the present invention is usefully suitable for stimulating the imagination, for example of young users, besides being advantageously suitable for being employed as skill and dexterity toy.
It is then to be said that the construction toy according to the invention has resulted to be structurally simple so as to allow a large scale production with reduced costs.
