- the present invention relates to a resonant detection or identification antenna of the type comprising at least one turn which comprises at least one electrically conductive wire and which is connected to a transponder electronic chip, and whose operating frequency is greater than or equal at 10 MHz, the surface defined by said at least one turn being substantially less than or equal to 0.30 m 2 .
- the antenna forms a resonant circuit which operates at high frequency, the value of which is predetermined so as to collect enough energy to power the electronic chip.
- the chip is thus said to be passive.
- Such antennas are for example used in the field of contactless identification as well as in the field of detection in anti-theft systems. These antennas are still commonly called labels, their surface not exceeding 0.30 m 2 and their operating frequencies being high (greater than 10 MHz).
- Resonant antennas are constructed so that their inductance matches the capacity of the circuit. This capacity is in practice close to that of the electronic chip.
- circuits are very sensitive to the environment because it behaves like a dielectric medium which affects in particular the capacity of the circuit. It is therefore very difficult to produce antennas whose functioning is not affected by the change of environment.
- the resonant antenna is integrated into a sports identification bib, and is therefore in contact with the human body, the capacity of the circuit increases.
- the solutions envisaged have not produced satisfactory results.
- a resonant antenna of the kind in question is essentially characterized in that the total capacity of the antenna is substantially greater than or equal to 140 pF and in that the coefficient of overvoltage of said at least one turn is substantially greater than or equal to 30. Thanks to these provisions, it has been surprisingly obtained, an antenna whose operating characteristics are not modified by the environment.
- the transponder chip comprises a first capacity of predetermined value, and a second capacity is placed in parallel with respect to the electronic chip, so that the overall capacity of the antenna is greater than or equal to 140 pF. It is thus easy to adapt the capacity of the antenna as a function of the capacity of the chip predetermined during manufacture.
- said at least one turn comprises mechanical properties adapted so that the antenna retains by itself a predetermined shape.
- the antenna can then be used in the form of a bracelet or a necklace.
- said at least one turn is secured to a support. Still more preferably, said at least one turn comprises a single-strand wire.
