Abstract

A metallic work table is provided. Fixing members and a shelf are welded and attached to work table legs in a metallic work table. An inwardly V-shaped shelf attachment groove is formed in each work table leg in lengthy direction so that the fixing members and the shelf can be easily fixedly attached to the work table legs without specially processing each corner of the shelf and each end portion of the fixing members, or without finishing welded portions again. The end portions of the fixing members and the respective corners of the shelf are fitted into the shelf attachment grooves, and then spot welding works are performed in the inner sides of the fixing members and the shelf.

Description

METALLIC WORK TABLE
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a metallic work table which is used as a washing table, a cooking table or a drying table for a kitchen, and more particularly to, a metallic work table in which when fixing members and a shelf are welded and attached to work table legs during fabricating the metallic work table, an inwardly V-shaped shelf attachment groove is formed in each work table leg in lengthy direction so that the fixing members and the shelf can be easily fixedly attached to the work table legs without specially processing each corner of the shelf and each end portion of the fixing members in accord with the shape of the work table legs, or without finishing welded portions again, with a result that the end portions of the fixing members and the respective corners of the shelf are fitted into the shelf attachment grooves, and then spot welding works are performed in the inner sides of the fixing members and the shelf, so that the fixing members and the shelf are integrally fixedly attached to the legs.
Background Art
As shown in FIG. 4, a conventional metallic work table 1' which is used as a washing table, a cooking table, a drying table, or a gas range table for a kitchen, is generally made of a metallic material such as stainless steel, and includes an upper work plate 2', and work table legs 3 ' of a cylindrical or square column structure which are welded to the lower portion of the upper work plate 2 ' , in which fixing members 7 ' and a shelf 4 ' are welded between the work table legs 3'. When the fixing members 7' and the shelf 4' are welded and attached to the work table legs 31, each corner portion of the fixing members 7 ' and the shelf 4 ' is primarily worked into an inwardly concave round shape or rectangular groove shape in accord with the shape of the work table legs 3' , and then outer boundary lines where the work table legs 3' contacts the fixing members 7' and the shelf 4' are welded to thereby integrally fixedly attach to each other. The welded portions 6' are secondarily finished using a grinder, to accordingly complete the metallic work table 1'.
As a result, welding and attaching the work table legs 3' to the upper plate 2', the fixing members 7' and the shelf 4' may cause a burden that each corner portion of the fixing members 7' and the shelf 4' should be primarily worked into an inwardly concave round shape or rectangular groove shape in accord with the shape of the work table legs 3' . Also, since a welding work should be performed along outer boundary lines where the work table legs 3' contacts the fixing members 7' and the shelf 4', the weldingprocess shouldbe accomplishedby a professional welder, thereby causing an increase in a manpower cost and thus a production cost . When the weldedportions 6 ' are secondarily finished smoothly using a grinder, metal fractions can jerk and damage a physical body such as the eyes of a worker, to thereby cause a safety accident to frequently occur, a production schedule to be delayed and a production cost to increase, due to an additional process.
Disclosure of the Invention
To solve the above problems, it is an object of the present invention to provide a metallic work table in which each corner of a shelf and each end portion of fixing members are fitted into each shelf attachment groove of work table legs without specially processing the shelf and the fixing members, and then spot welding works are performed in the inner sides of the fixing members and the shelf, thereby needing no welders and having no need to finish the welded portions, and preventing a safety accident , shortening a production schedule and reducing a production cost.
To accomplish the above object of the present invention, according to the present invention, there is provided a metallic work table characterized in that an inwardly V-shaped shelf attachment groove is formed in each work table leg in lengthy direction wherein end portions of fixing members and respective corners of the shelf are fitted into respective shelf attachment grooves, and then spot welding works are performed in the inner sides of the fixing members and the shelf, so that the fixing members and the shelf are integrally fixedly attached to the legs .
Brief Description of the Drawings The above and other objects and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent by describing the preferred embodiment thereof in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings in which:
FIG. 1 is a schematic view showing a state where a shelf and fixing members are spot-welded to a metallic work table leg according to the present invention;
FIG. 2A is a perspective view showing a metallic work table leg of a cylindrical structure according to an embodiment of the present invention; FIG. 2B is a perspective view showing a metallic work table leg of a cylindrical structure according to another embodiment of the present invention;
FIG. 2C is a perspective view showing a metallic work table leg of a square column structure according to another embodiment of the present invention;
FIG. 3 is a perspective view showing a work table according to the present invention; and
FIG. 4 is a perspective view showing a conventional work table . Best Mode for Carrying out the Invention
Hereinbelow, a metallic work table according to the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings .
A metallic work table 1 according to the present invention as shown in FIGs. 1 to 3 is used as a washing table, a cooking table, a drying table, or a gas range table for a kitchen, and is generally made of a metallic material such as stainless steel, and includes an upper work plate 2, and work table legs '3 which are welded to the lower portion of the upper work plate 2, in which fixing members 7 fixing the work table legs 3 and a shelf 4 are spot-welded between the work table legs 3.
The upper work plate 2 is a pate which is located in the upper portion of the work table 1. The work table legs 3 are integrally welded and attached to the lower end portion of each corner of the upper work plate 2, respectively.
The work table legs 3 are formed of a cylindrical structure or a polygonal column structure such as a square column structure. An inwardly V-shaped shelf attachment groove 5 is formed in each
WOrJk table leg in lengthy direction. Here, respective corners of: the shelf 4 and both end portions of the fixing members 7 are fitted into respective shelf attachment grooves 5, and then spot welding works or argon welding works are performed in the inner sides of the fixing members 7 and the shelf 4, so that the fixing members 7 and the shelf 4 are integrally fixedly attached to the legs 3. That is, the metallic work table 1 according to the present invention does not require for a welding work performed along outer boundary lines where the work table legs 3 contacts the fixing members 7 and the shelf 4, as in the conventional metallic work table 1' shown in FIG. 4.
Alternatively, as shown in FIGs .2B, 2C and 3, the work table leg 3 may be formed of a cylindrical structure or a polygonal column structure such as a square column structure where there is no shelf attachment groove 5 in the lower portion of the work table leg 3, so that a lower cap 8 made of synthetic resin can be easily fitted in the lower end of the work table leg 3.
Here, in the case that the specific description of the relevant known functions or structures are not necessary to make the gist of the invention clear in the specification, the detailed description thereof will be omitted.
Terms to be described are selected to consider the functions of the invention, but they may be expressed in various forms according to producers ' intention or customs . Thus, the definition of the terms used should be based on the total description over the specification.
Industrial Applicability As described above, a metallic work table according to the present invention does not require for specially processing each corner of a shelf and each end portion of fixing members which contact work table legs in accord with the shape of the work table legs, and is formed by performing spot welding or argon welding in the inner sides of the fixing members and the shelf, so that the fixing members and the shelf are integrally fixedly attached to the legs. As a result, since common labors other than a welding specialist can easily perform a welding work, a production cost can be greatly reduced thanks to saving of a labor cost. Also, since welded portions do not require for finishing specially, a safety accident can be prevented in advance and a production term can be shortened, differently from the conventional art.
