Description

FRUSTO-CONICAL DRINKING ACCESSORY FOR A BEVERAGE CAN
CONVERT-A-CAN
An alternative method of drinking beverages IE: Beer, Mixed Drinks and Soft Drinks
Figure imgf000003_0001
The current method of drinking the contents of a beverage can is either to pour into another vessel, use a straw or drink directly from the can by placing your mouth over the edge and open hole on top of the can, the latter is not a pleasant way to drink from a can but is socially acceptable.
The Convert- A-Can has been designed to provide a pleasant and convenient way of drinking from a beverage can with an inexpensive, reusable or disposable plastic cup that can be attached to the top of a beverage can in a matter seconds once the ring pull on the can has been opened, converting the can to a perfect medium to drink from.
It would be used at BBQ'S, large gatherings, parties, conventions, child and family gatherings, home use and anywhere that drinking from a beverage can would be a more pleasurable experience.
The Convert- A-Can would be pushed on to the rim of the can by hand which in turn would provide a fixed and secure method of drinking due to the design of the Convert- A-Can's lower rim.
The Convert- A-Can would be manufactured from clear or solid colour food grade plastic and or acrylic as a reusable or a disposable product.
The invention may be better understood with reference to the illustrations of embodiments of the invention.
Figure 1 is an elevation of the Convert- A-Can showing a separation between it and a beverage can.
Figure 2 is an elevation of the Convert-A-Can showing it in the fixed position on a beverage can.
Figure 3 is showing the bottom edge of the Convert- A-can with a flanged gripping ring or collar on the interior of the bottom edge for ensuring a tight leak proof seal.
Figure 4 is showing a cutaway of the interior of the Convert-A-Can.
The attachable cup as shown is cylindrical with the base open so that it fits the design of the can with the gripping ring or collar on the interior bottom edge providing a tight seal.

2. The accessory of claim 1 in which the first opening is shaped and dimensioned to fit snugly around the upper rim of the container with the sealing member bearing on the rim.
3. The accessory of the claim 1 or claim 2 in which the second opening is larger than the first opening.
4 The accessory of any one of the preceding claims in which the first opening and The second opening are circular and are concentrically arranged.
5 The accessory of any one of the preceding claims in which the sealing member Comprises a radially inwardly extending collar having a length sufficient to overlie the upper rim of the container.
