Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft damit Verfahren zum Unterdrücken bzw. Vermeiden von nichtlinearen Effekten, wie z.B. Bifurkationen der emittierten Intensität, bei Lasern bzw. sie betrifft solche Laseranordnungen, die erfindungsgemäss so ausgebildet werden, dass sie ohne das Auftreten von solchen Effekten betrieben werden können. Zur Unterdrückung der nichtlinearen Effekten in der Laseremission werden entweder die Parameter der Laseranordnung so gewählt, dass ein Auftreten nichtlinearer Effekte von vorneherein vermieden wird und der Laser inhärent stabil emittiert. Oder es wird der Betrieb des Lasers dynamisch geregelt, indem wenigstens eine die Laseremission beeinflussende Stellgrösse in Abhängigkeit von wenigstens einem auf der extrahierten Pulsenergie der Laseremission beruhenden Fehlersignal so variiert wird, dass ein instabiles Verhalten der Laseremission vermieden oder unterdrückt wird.
