Description

CONSTRUCTION TILE-TYPE MATERIAL USING LIGHT SOURCE
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a tile-type construction material for exterior-finishing using a light-emitting source, particularly, to such tile-type construction material, in which a light-emitting element such as a high-luminous LED is combined therewith in order to attract a pedestrian' s attention at the nighttime as well as the daytime, thereby performing an advertisement for providing information to pedestrians, without consuming a large quantity of electric power.
Background Art
Conventionally, there have been known a technique for treating a finishing material in order to protect the exterior surface of a building structure, and an insulating technique for improving the efficiency of air-conditioning and heating inside the building. These techniques can be readily and easily applied to a construction site. For example, plasterboards for insulating the buildings and special finishing materials for improving the external appearance thereof are used, depending on the characteristics of the building.
Most of the buildings have their exterior wall faces, which have been finished with an architectural finishing material and maintained as they are. Therefore, when the user of the buildings wants to attach advertisements on the finished wall face, it must be attached on the surface of the finishing material. Otherwise, an independent advertising facilities or structure must be constructed. However, advertising facilities constructed by the conventional techniques use a real picture sign having enormous fluorescent lamps built therein, or a light-emitting source such as a neon sign generating a high luminance. These conventional advertising methods embrace a common problem in consuming a large quantity of electric power. Accordingly, there is a need to address the problem in the prior art and provide an advertising facility or exterior-finishing material having a high effectiveness of advertisement.
Disclosure of Invention Therefore, the present invention has been made in order to solve the above problems occurring in the prior art, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a tile-type construction material for exterior-finishing using a light- emitting source, in which a light-emitting element such as a high-luminous LED is combined therewith in order to attract a pedestrian's attention at the nighttime as well as the daytime, thereby performing an advertisement for providing information to pedestrians, without consuming a large quantity of electric power. Another object of the invention is to provide a tile-type construction material for exterior-finishing using a light- emitting source, which can be tiled on the floor of public places, thereby improving the advertising effect aiming at pedestrians . In order to accomplish the above object, according to one aspect of the invention, there is provided a tile-type construction material for exterior-finishing and using a light- emitting source. The tile-type construction material of the invention comprises: a) a light-emitting element consuming a lower power of electricity such as a high-luminous LED or a semiconductor laser; b) an illuminating frame having a function of supplying an electric power to a letter or figure information composed of the light-emitting element and fixing the letter or figure information; c) a wiring unit for supplying an electric power to the illuminating frame therethrough; and d) an architectural exterior material for holding the illuminating frame and the wiring unit.
In addition, the light-emitting element may include an elongated optical guide having a long head portion, wherein the optical guide wears with the architectural exterior material .
Furthermore, the illuminating frame is generally structured to have a mesh form. The tile-type construction material of the invention may comprise a single color-emitting element, when the required resolution is low. When a high resolution is required, the tile-type construction material may comprise a plurality of light-emitting elements such as a red, green, blue, and white color emitting element, which are combinationally arranged. A bipolar electric element such as a high-luminous LED may be easily inserted in the illuminating frame, and therefore an electrical closed circuit can be formed, thereby not requiring a separate soldering for connections . In addition, the wiring unit may comprise a laterally- projected electrode terminal, which is connected with an electrode terminal of a neighboring tile-type construction material or a power source. Alternatively, the wiring unit may comprise an electrode terminal inserted into the lower portion of the tile-type construction material, and the electrode terminal is connected with an electric wire which is installed beforehand for supplying an electric power.
The tile-type construction material of the invention has an effect of advertisement, which cannot be performed by conventional constructional finishing materials. Particularly, a light-emitting element such as a high-luminous LED or a semiconductor laser is combined so that pedestrians' attention can be attracted at the nighttime, as well as the daytime.

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
Referring to the accompanying drawings, the preferred embodiments according to the present invention are hereafter described in detail. FIG. 1 illustrates a building, to which a tile-type construction material for exterior-finishing and using a light- emitting source according to the invention is applied, and an example of using the tile-type material of the invention.
FIG. 1 shows a detailed construction example 20, in which designed information 40 such as a letter or a figure is applied to the outer wall of a building 10. For example, as shown in an enlarged figure of a letter G' in the designed information 40, the letter λG' is composed of plural tile-type construction material 30 for exterior-finishing, which are combined with each other. The tile-type construction material for exterior- finishing will be hereinafter referred to as a "tile-type construction material." Each tile-type construction material constituting the letter λG' has a light-emitting area, which is different from each other. In other words, when a lower resolution is desired, the tile-type construction material is set to a single color and constituted of a single color-emitting element. On the contrary, when a high resolution is required, the tile-type construction material of the invention may be provided with a plurality of light-emitting elements such as a red, green, blue, and white color-emitting element, which are combinationally arranged. FIG. 2 is a cross-section showing the structure of a tile- type construction material according to one embodiment of the invention.
As shown in FIG. 2, a light-emitting element 31 is combined with an illuminating frame 33 and emits a light through a optical guide 32. Here, the optical guide 32 may be integrally formed with the light-emitting element 31 or attached thereto.
