技術分野
[0001] 本発明は、化学工場、石油化学工場、廃棄物処理施設等から排出される有機化合 物含有アルカリ性排水を噴霧焼却し、有機化合物を除去し、アルカリ性排水に含ま れるアルカリ金属塩の回収、有効利用を図る方法及びその製造システムに関する。 背景技術
[0002] 有機化合物を含有する排水を処理する方法として噴霧焼却法がある。この方法は 、焼却炉において火焰中に排水を噴霧し焼却処理するものであり、複雑な操作を伴 わず、安定した処理性が得られるという利点がある。化学工場などから排出される排 水は、有機酸などの酸性物質を含むことが多ぐそのため、カセイソーダなどでアル カリ中和してから、すなわち、アルカリ金属塩を含む排水としてから、噴霧焼却されて おり、この結果、ナトリウムなどのアルカリ金属の炭酸塩を含む溶液が得られる。 し力しながら、この溶液中の炭酸塩の濃度は、焼却する排水の量、および排水に含 まれるアルカリ金属塩の濃度に依存して変動する。また、有機化合物が燃焼して水を 生成するので排水中の有機化合物の量によっても、また、供給される冷却水の量に よっても変動する。さらに、焼却条件によって冷却水の蒸発量が変動するなどの要因 によっても変動する。
排水の有効利用の観点からは、焼却により得られた炭酸アルカリ金属塩水溶液を 再利用すること、または製品として使用することが好ましい。このような場合、炭酸アル カリ金属塩の濃度をその用途等により、特定の濃度とすることが要求されることがある 炭酸アルカリ金属塩の濃度を特定範囲とするためには、一般に得られた炭酸アル カリ金属塩水溶液をさらに水で希釈する力 \または濃縮する方法が採られているが、 希釈または濃縮の工程が必要になる。また、濃度調整のため冷却水量を変えること を開示するものもあるが(例えば特許文献 1参照)、冷却水量の変動のみでは、広い 範囲の製品濃度を調整することはできない。 [0003] 特許文献 1:特公昭 50 - 2547号公報 (第 2頁)
発明の開示
[0004] 本発明は、炭酸アルカリ金属塩の濃度が所望の範囲となるような炭酸アルカリ金属 塩水溶液の製造方法に係り、本発明によれば、濃度を特定範囲とするための水によ る希釈または濃縮のための設備を必要としない。
すなわち、本発明は、(1)有機化合物含有アルカリ性排水を燃料および燃焼用空 気と共に噴霧焼却し、焼却ガスを得る第 1工程、(2)焼却ガスに冷却水を注入し、固 形分および水溶性成分を水相に、焼却排ガスを気相に分離する第 2工程、(3)水相 中の固形分中の粗固形分を沈降分離して、微固形分懸濁アルカリ性水を得、次ェ 程に移送する第 3工程、(4)移送された微固形分懸濁アルカリ性水中の懸濁微固形 分を除去し、炭酸アルカリ金属塩を得る第 4工程を含み、
第 4工程において測定された炭酸アルカリ金属塩濃度が
(a)運転管理目標値の上限値より高レ、場合は、第 2工程の冷却水注入量を増加させ

発明を実施するための最良の形態
[0005] 図 1を参照して、まず、噴霧焼却処理について説明する。
アルカリ金属塩を含む有機化合物含有アルカリ性排水 32は、噴霧焼却炉 31に設 けられた排水スプレーノズルから噴霧焼却炉 31内に噴霧される。排水中の有機化合 物の燃焼及び燃料の燃焼に必要な量の燃焼用空気 34の一部は一次エアーとして、 燃料 33と共に焼却炉 31に設けられた燃料パーナに供給され、残りは二次エアーとし て炉内に直接供給される。燃料パーナの火焰温度は極めて高温であり、この火焰に むかって排水 32を噴霧することにより、排水 32中の水は急速に蒸発し、有機化合物 は燃焼し、また、燃焼により生成した水も蒸発する。通常はアルカリ金属塩も燃焼し、 燃焼酸化物が生成する。
焼却ガス 35に含まれるアルカリ金属酸化物と一部の COは冷却水 36に溶解し、炭

酸アルカリ金属塩を含有する焼却排水 38となる。ガス 35は冷却水 36と熱交換し、冷 却水の一部を蒸発させ、この水蒸気を伴って焼却排ガス 37として排出される。炭酸 アルカリ金属塩を吸収した冷却水である焼却排水 38は、粗固形分を沈降分離した後 、フィルタープレス等の懸濁微固形分除去装置によって、微小な固形分を除去して、 ソーダ製品 39として再利用される。
なお、燃焼用空気は上記したとおり、一般的には、一次エアーと二次エアーとがあ る力 図 1では合わせて燃焼用空気 34 (量 Z)として表示している。
[0006] 上記において有機化合物含有アルカリ性排水 32とは、化学工場等において取り扱 われる種々の有機化合物を含有する排水をいう。有機化合物には酸性物質のものも 、アルカリ性物質のものもあるが、化学工場などで取り扱われる有機化合物は有機酸 を含むことが多ぐ全体としては酸性となることが多レ、。すなわち、有機化合物には、 ブタン、ブテン、ブタジエン、イソプレン等の飽禾口'不飽和炭化水素類;ベンゼン、トル ェン、キシレン、フエノール、ェチルベンゼン、ァセトフエノン等の環式炭化水素およ びその誘導体;メチルベンジルアルコール、プロピレングリコール等のアルコール類 の他、化学プロセスにおける副生成物であるギ酸、酢酸、安息息酸などの有機酸;そ の他、テトラメチルアンモニゥム等のアルカリ性物質も含まれる。
[0007] これらの全体として酸性の有機化合物を含む排水を排出する化学工場等では、力 セイソ一ダゃ、それに類似のアルカリ性金属塩で中和処理を行う等の一次処理が行 われており、排水全体としてはアルカリ性排水となるようにして排水処理プロセスに移 送される。したがって、本発明における有機化合物含有アルカリ性排水にはカセイソ ーダ、炭酸ナトリウム、炭酸水素ナトリウム等のアルカリ成分が含まれ、通常 pH8-10 のアルカリ性を示す。
燃料としては通常、重油やプラント廃油等が用いられ、炉内燃焼温度は特に限定さ れないが、 930—950度程度である。
噴霧焼却炉 31の内面は、キャスターや耐火煉瓦等の耐火材で覆われており、アル ミナ、シリカなどが含まれている。冷却水としては通常、工業用水が使用されている。 [0008] 排水 32に含まれるアルカリ金属塩がナトリウム塩であり、中和または焼却により生成 する炭酸アルカリ金属塩が炭酸ナトリウム (Na CO )等であり(以後、製品ソーダと称 する場合がある)、ソーダ製品 39を得る場合を例にとり、本発明の炭酸アルカリ金属 塩濃度の制御方法を説明する。
この場合、ソーダ製品 39の濃度 sは下記式によって示される。

上記式(1)中、製品ソーダの量 aは、排水 32の組成及び処理量により変動し、下記 式(2)により示される。

[0010] 上記式(3)において、冷却水 36の蒸発量 Yvは、焼却ガス 35が冷却水 36に与えた 熱量、すなわち、焼却ガス 35中の水蒸気、炭酸ガスなどの種々のガスの顕熱(Q1 + Q2 + Q3 + Q4+ ')から、冷却水 36が沸点に達するに必要な熱量 Q0を差し引き、こ れを水の潜熱 Cwで割って下記のとおり求めることができる。

焼却ガス 35の主な成分は、水蒸気、炭酸ガス、窒素、酸素であり、これらの顕熱を 求める計算式は、下記のとおりである。なお、焼却ガス 35中のその他の気体の顕熱 量が多い場合には、下記と同様に考慮して式 (4)中に含める。また排水 32中に含ま れる Na等の金属塩の濃度が高ぐその燃焼酸化物の顕熱や、水への溶解熱が無視 できない場合にも、同様の考慮を行う。

klfは、燃料 33中に含まれる水素分の燃焼により生成される水蒸気量を決める係数 であり、燃料 33の組成に基づき計算される。燃料 33の組成に大幅な変動がなけれ ば、代表的な組成から求めた値で代用してもよレ、。
Fは燃料 33の量である。複数の燃料を同時に使用する場合には、それぞれを Fl、 F2…とし、以後の計算式、係数も同様に増やして計算する。
T1は焼却ガス 35の温度であり、 T2は焼却ガス 35が熱交換した後の焼却排ガス 37 の温度である。これは焼却排水 38の温度と等しい。
Cpvは T1一 T2での水蒸気の平均比熱である。

先に述べたとおり、冷却水としては通常、工業用水が使用される。工業用水には力 ルシゥムイオンがふくまれる。このカルシウムイオンは焼却ガス中の炭酸ガスと反応し て難溶性の炭酸カルシウム、炭酸水素カルシウム等を生成する。また、噴霧焼却に 際して焼却炉の耐火物が一部損傷し、耐火物の成分が焼却ガスに同伴することがあ る。また、燃焼により発生した灰分も焼却ガスに同伴する。
これらの難溶性成分は第 3工程において粗固形分として焼却炉下に設けたピットや 粗固形分分離ピット等によって分離されるが、粗固形分分離後もその上澄み中には 微細な固形分が含まれる。このため、第 4工程において、フィルタープレス等を用い て懸濁微固形分を除去する。
ところが、この第 4工程への移送中に、沈殿するに至らなかった難溶性成分がクラス ターを形成し、配管、ポンプ、調節弁等の排水ラインに沈着することがある。
このため、第 3工程と第 4工程の間に磁気処理工程を挟むことができる。

磁気処理装置 14は、例えば、第 3工程と第 4工程を繋ぐポンプのサンクション配管 等に多数の磁石巻きつけるように取り付けたものである。
強力な磁気処理により焼却排水中のクラスターが破壊され、難溶性の炭酸カルシゥ ムゃ耐火物屑などが配管に沈着しにくくなり、また破壊されたクラスタ一はフィルター プレス等の懸濁微固形分除去装置により有利に除去され、純度の高いソーダ製品を 提供できる。
[0036] その一例を挙げると下記のとおりである。
磁気処理装置 14としてネオジゥム磁石約 100個をポンプ 15のサクシヨン部分の 3B 配管に卷きつけ固定した。冷却水として工業用水を約 30T/H用レ、、約 13T/Hの有 機化合物含有アルカリ性排水を 930-950度で噴霧焼却した。焼却炉の耐火物屑や 炭酸カルシウム等の粗固形分を沈殿処理した後、フィルタープレスを用いて懸濁微 固形分を分離して濃度約 15%の炭酸ナトリウム水溶液を得た。この運転を約 4ヶ月継 続した後、ポンプ 14から中間タンク 18までの配管を開放点検したところ、配管内面に は 2 3mm程度の硬いスケールは付着していたが、磁気処理装置の取り付け前に 見られたような耐火物の屑を取り込んだ軟らカ 、スケールによる配管のつまりは見ら れなかった。さらに 5ヶ月継続して同様の運転を続けたが、配管の詰まりもなぐ安定 的に排水の送液ができ、また、純度の高いソーダ製品を提供できた。
なお、冷却水として軟水を用いて炭酸カルシウムの生成を防止することもできる。
[0037] また、本発明の方法は、第 2工程の焼却排ガスを洗浄及びろ過して排出する工程 を含んでもよぐ好ましくは洗浄にはベンチュリースクラバーが、ろ過には排気フィルタ 一が用いられる。
この洗浄水としてカルシウムイオンを含む硬水を用いると、焼却排ガス中に含まれる 炭酸成分と反応して難溶性の炭酸カルシウム、炭酸水素カルシウム等を形成してベ ンチュリースクラバーや排気フィルターの詰まりの原因となる。そこで、これらの洗浄 水として軟水を用いることにより上記の詰まりの問題を解決する。
[0038] その一例を図 2にフロー図で示す。図 2において、 6はベンチュリースクラバー、 7は 補給水、 8は循環ポンプ、 9は排気フィルター、 10は洗浄用循環水、 11は循環水レ ベル調節計、 12は排気ガスである。
排気フィルタ一はチューブ状のフィルターエレメントを含むもののほカ ラッシヒリン グ、ポールリング等の充填材を充填した充填塔方式のフィルターであってもよい。 軟水は、例えば、砂ろ過器と強酸性陽イオン交換樹脂を用いた軟水器とを含む軟 水製造装置によって製造され、補給水 7として洗浄用循環水 10に補給される。洗浄 用循環水 10は、循環水レベル調節計 11によって一定レベルに保たれ、余剰の水が あれば、冷却水と共に燃焼ガスの冷却に用いてもよい。なお、この場合、上記式にお いて冷却水の量 Yはこの余剰水の量を含んで調整される。
[0039] 一例として、上記磁気処理の場合と同様の運転条件でベンチュリースクラバー 6及 び排気フィルター 9の洗浄循環水として約 7T/Hの軟水を用レ、、有機化合物含有ァ ルカリ性排水の噴霧焼却実験を行った。結果は、最も詰まりの懸念されていたベンチ ュリースクラバーの洗浄水吹き込みノズル、排気フィルターの詰まりもなく 2ヶ月安定 的に当該設備の運転が可能であった。
実施例 1

2wt%とする。排水 32の処理量は llOOOkg/hとする。燃料 33にはプラントよりの副生 油である燃料 1(組成は C: 78wt%、 H: 9wt%、 0: 13wt%)と燃料 2(組成は C: 84wt% 、 H : 8wt%、 0 : 8wt%)を使用し、それぞれの量を Fl、 F2とする(以後、燃料に関する 記号は、本文中で使用した記号の後に添字 1、 2を付けて表記する)。

製品には炭酸ナトリウムと炭酸水素ナトリウムが含まれているが、その濃度スペック は Na CO +NaHCOが 13±0.5wt%かつ Na CO力 ±2wt%である。製品濃度に大

幅な変動がなければ、その重量比率はほぼ一定であり、炭酸ナトリウム 8:炭酸水素 ナトリウム 5の比率となる。そのため、それぞれの分子量から製品ソーダ量 aを得るた めの係数 kaを計算すると、 ka=2.686X(Na濃度)で表され、 Naを 3wt%含む排水 32の 場合は ka=0.0806となる。よって生成される製品量 a = 0.0806XXで表される。
[0058] 本実施例での排水 32と燃料 33 (燃料 1と燃料 2)の組成により決まる係数等は、燃 焼化学式と分子量より計算する。なお、運転条件の変更時 (あるいは定期的)には性 状、組成を分析し、最適運転ができるように制御に用いる係数の見直しを実施する。 排水 32の燃焼により生成される水蒸気は下記式で示されるので、係数 klx = 0.94で ある。 0.85XX + (0.01X18/2)XX = 0.94XX

排水 32の燃焼のために供給必要な 0は下記式で示されるので、係数 k4x=0.26で ある。

燃料 1の燃焼により生成される水蒸気は下記式で示されるので係数 k If 1 = 0.81であ る。 (0.09X18/2)XF1 = 0.81XF1
燃料 1の燃焼により生成される C 0は下記式で示されるので係数 k2f 1 = 2.86である

燃料 2の燃焼により生成される水蒸気は下記式で示されるので係数 klf2 = 0.72であ る。

燃料 2の燃焼により生成される COは下記式で示されるので係数 k2f2 = 3.08である

燃料 2の燃焼のために供給必要な 0は下記式で示されるので係数 k4f2 = 2.80であ る。
(0.08 X 16/2 + 0.84 X 32/12—0.08) X F2 = 2.80 X F2
燃焼用空気 34に含まれる Nは空気の組成(0.77 XZ)より、その係数 k3 = 0.77であ る。
燃焼用空気に含まれる 0は空気の組成(0.23 XZ)より、その係数 k4z = 0.23である 水の潜熱と平均比熱は以下を用いる。 水の潜熱: Cw=2260KJ/kg
水の平均比熱: Cpw=4.18KJ/kg' °C
これらの物性値には、対象となる温度範囲で最適となる数値を文献やデータベース より入手、あるいは最適な数値がない場合には入手できる数値の比例配分、平均化 等を実施し最適となるように計算した数値を用いる。

産業上の利用可能性
[0061] 本発明の方法によれば、化学工場等から排出されるアルカリ性排水に含まれるァ ルカリ金属塩を炭酸アルカリ金属塩として回収し、その有効利用を図ることができる。 また、炭酸アルカリ金属塩の濃度を特定範囲とするための水による希釈または濃縮 のための設備を必要とせず、冷却水の量と燃焼用空気の量の 2つ量をコントロール することにより、所望の濃度の炭酸アルカリ金属塩が得られる。

Claims

請求の範囲 [1] (1)有機化合物含有アルカリ性排水を燃料および燃焼用空気と共に噴霧焼却し、 焼却ガスを得る第 1工程、(2)焼却ガスに冷却水を注入し、固形分および水溶性成 分を水相に、焼却排ガスを気相に分離する第 2工程、(3)水相中の固形分中の粗固 形分を沈降分離して、微固形分懸濁アルカリ性水を得、次工程に移送する第 3工程 、 (4)移送された微固形分懸濁アルカリ性水中の懸濁微固形分を除去し、炭酸アル カリ金属塩を得る第 4工程を含み、 第 4工程において測定された炭酸アルカリ金属塩濃度が (a)運転管理目標値の上限値より高レ、場合は、第 2工程の冷却水注入量を増加させ (b - 1)運転管理目標値の下限値より低い場合であって、第 2工程の冷却水注入量が 必要最低量より多レ、場合は、冷却水注入量を減少させ、 (b - 2)第 2工程の冷却注入量が必要最低量である場合は、第 1工程の燃焼用空気 量を増加させ、炭酸アルカリ金属塩濃度を運転管理目標値に制御する、炭酸アル力 リ金属塩水溶液の製造方法。 [2] (1)有機化合物含有アルカリ性排水を燃料および燃焼用空気と共に噴霧焼却し、 焼却ガスを得る第 1工程、(2)焼却ガスに冷却水を注入し、固形分および水溶性成 分を水相に、焼却排ガスを気相に分離する第 2工程、(3)水相中の固形分中の粗固 形分を沈降分離して、微固形分懸濁アルカリ性水を得、次工程に移送する第 3工程 、 (4)移送された微固形分懸濁アルカリ性水中の懸濁微固形分を除去し、炭酸アル カリ金属塩を得る第 4工程を含み、 第 4工程において測定された炭酸アルカリ金属塩濃度が (a)運転管理目標値の下限値より低い場合は、第 1工程の燃焼用空気量を増加させ
(b - 1)運転管理目標値の上限値より高い場合であって、第 1工程の燃焼用空気量が 最適空気量より多い場合は、燃焼用空気量を減少させ、
(b - 2)第 1工程の燃焼用空気量が最適空気量である場合は、第 2工程の冷却水注 入量を増加させ、炭酸アルカリ金属塩濃度を運転管理目標値に制御する、炭酸アル カリ金属塩水溶液の製造方法。
[3] 前記第 3工程と第 4工程の間に、微固形分懸濁アルカリ性水の磁気処理工程をさら に含む請求項 1または 2に記載の方法。
[4] 前記第 2工程の焼却排ガスを洗浄及びろ過して排出する工程を含み、洗浄にはべ ンチュリースクラバーが、ろ過には排気フィルターが用いられ、ベンチュリースクラバ 一及び排気フィルターの洗浄水として軟水が用いられる請求項 1一 3のいずれか一 項に記載の方法。
[5] 噴霧焼却炉、噴霧焼却炉に有機化合物含有アルカリ性排水を供給する排水供給 路、燃料を供給する燃料供給路及び燃焼用空気を供給する空気供給路、焼却ガス に冷却水を供給する冷却水供給路、炭酸アルカリ金属塩濃度の指標を検出できる手 段、炭酸アルカリ金属塩の濃度が目標値となるように冷却水の供給量を調節する冷 却水調節系、炭酸アルカリ金属塩の濃度が目標値となるように燃焼用空気の供給量 を調節する空気調節系、及び密度計により検出した炭酸アルカリ金属塩の濃度に基 づき、冷却水調節系及び空気調節系におけるそれぞれの供給量の必要な増減量を 算出し、冷却水調節系及び空気調節系を制御する制御系を含む炭酸アルカリ金属 塩製造システム。
