Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung die zum schnellen und zuverlässigen Auffinden und Identifizieren von gefährlichen Gütern wie Sprengstoffen, chemischen Kampfstoffen oder Narkotika in Gepäckstücken Anwendung finden können. Dazu werden die zu untersuchenden Gepäckstücke mit schnellen Neutronen bestrahlt. Zu Auswertung erfolgt eine zeitaufgelöste Erfassung der entstehenden thermischen Neutronen sowie eine Entfaltung derer Abklingkurven und eine Registrierung der induzierten Gammstrahlung infolge inelastischer Streuung und Einfangstrahlung.
