Abstract

L'invention concerne une aiguille à fibre optique destinée à manipuler des petits échantillons de liquide en vue d'une spectroscopie. L'aiguille est formée par une fibre optique et comporte un ou plusieurs trous traversant, de préférence une fibre cristalline ou une fibre à largeur de bande interdite photonique. L'aiguille peut collecter le liquide par prélèvement du liquide dans ces trous traversant par action capillaire. Lorsque contenu dans les trous traversants, le liquide est aisément éclairé par une lumière guide dans l'aiguille à fibre optique, et la lumière émise ou diffusée à partir du liquide est aisément collectée et guidée vers un photodétecteur tel qu'un spectromètre. La fibre optique peut être utilisée en tant qu'aiguille hypodermique pour collecter des échantillons de sang ou en tant que pipette de collecte d'échantillons à partir d'une plaque de microtitration dans le criblage de compositions chimiques destinées à des médicaments.
