Abstract
The present invention relates to bricks for sidewalk that can increase the flatness when constructing the bricks for sidewalk, and can prevent a plant such as weeds from growing upwardly from the surface of the land. A plurality of bricks for sidewalk 1 are alternately formed up and down so that they are supported between the alternating brick bodies 2. Therefore, the bricks for sidewalk can be easily constructed while maintaining the flatness. A junction between the surface of the land 5 and the bricks for sidewalk 1 is formed go missing dually. It is thus possible to prohibit weeds from growing.
Description
BLOCK OF FOOTPATH
Technical Field
The present invention relates to bricks for sidewalk
constructed on various pedestrian sidewalks being urban base
facilities or the ground of stadium facilities. More particularly,
the present invention relates to bricks for sidewalk that can
increase the flatness upon construction of the bricks for sidewalk
and can prevent a plant such as weeds from growing upwardly from
the surface of the land.
Background Art
Conventionally, bricks for sidewalk are used to pave
pedestrian sidewalks such as the housing complex, public squares,
parks, parking lots and the like in the cities. These bricks for
sidewalk mainly include rectangular parallelepiped bricks for
sidewalk, and bricks for sidewalk having ruggedness portions formed
at both ends.
If theses bricks for sidewalk are constructed, respective
bricks go amiss even though the surface of the land is flat. Thus,
there is a problem that the entire bricks become irregular.
Furthermore, in case where those bricks for sidewalk are used, gaps l
in the junctions are formed vertically to the surface of the land.
Weeds grow among the gaps, which spoils the beauty of the cities.
Furthermore, the conventional rectangular parallelepiped
bricks for sidewalk or the bricks for sidewalk having ruggedness
portions formed at both ends have the same pattern. Thus, in order
to increase beauty, additional bricks having different coloring and
design have to be used. This increases the manufacturing cost and
makes it difficult to construct the bricks. For this reason, most
of the bricks for sidewalk have the same pattern. This makes
pedestrians get sick of the pattern.
Disclosure of Invention
Accordingly, the present invention has been made in view of
the above problems, and it is an object of the present invention to
provide bricks for sidewalk wherein projections of various shapes
coincident with a body are integrally formed on a brick body for
sidewalk, whereby various patterns are represented even with bricks
having a single design, weeds are prevented from growing from the
surface of the land, and the flatness is maintained upon
construction of the bricks for sidewalk.
Brief Description of Drawings
Further objects and advantages of the invention can be more
fully understood from the following detailed description t.aken in
conjunction with the accompanying drawings in which:

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
The present invention will now be described in detail in
connection with preferred embodiments with reference to the
accompanying drawings.
FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing bricks for sidewalk
according to an embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 2 is a
cross-sectional view showing bricks for sidewalk according to an
embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 3a is plane and front
views showing bricks for sidewalk according to an embodiment of the
present invention and FIG. 3b is a plane view showing some of the
pedestrian sidewalk consisting of bricks for sidewalk shown in FIG.
3a.
The present invention relates to bricks for sidewalk 1
constructed on the pedestrian sidewalks or the ground of sidewalks
within a construction. According to he present invention, in
forming the bricks for sidewalk 1, a projection 3 of a various
shape is integrally formed on a hexahedral brick body 2. Spaces 4
of volume V being the same as volume V of 1/4 of the projections
3 are then formed in four edge directions on the plane of the brick
body 2. Each projection 3 is thus coincident with each brick body
If the projection 3 is formed in a square pillar or a
hexahedral shape as shown in FIG. 3a to FIG. 3b, volume of each of
the four spaces in the brick body 2 is volume of 1/4 of the
projection 3. In FIG. 4a to FIG. 6b, volume of the spaces 4 in the
brick body 2 can have a 1/4 volume of the projection.
Unexplained reference numeral 5 indicates the surface of the
land on which the bricks for sidewalk 1 are constructed.
If the bricks for sidewalk 1 are constructed on the surface
of the land 5, the projection 3 is upwardly constructed from the
surface of the land 5 in a plurality of the bricks for sidewalk 1.
At this time, one sides of the brick body 2 are contacting one
another and the projection 3 of the brick for sidewalk 1 is
inserted into the spaces 4 formed between neighboring brick bodies
2.
That is, as shown in FIG. 1, four bricks for sidewalk 1 are
first laid on the surface of the land 5. The bricks for sidewalk 1
are turned over in the spaces 4 in which the bricks for sidewalk 1
are formed (four spaces 4 in the brick body 2 face one another) so
that the projection 3 is downwardly inserted.
This can be expressed into the following Equation.
(space volume) V'X4 = (volume of the entire projection) =
(1/4 volume of projection) V*X4
••■ V = V
At this time, though the projection 3 has a different shape,
the spaces 4 of the brick body 2 are always coincident with the
projection 3. This facilitates its construction. Though the
pedestrian sidewalks are constructed using only the bricks for
sidewalk 1 having the same shape, two or more patterns can be
represented entirely, as shown in FIG. 3b, 4b, 5b and 6b. Graceful
beauty is obtained.
Furthermore, the junction between the surface of the land 5
and the bricks for sidewalk 1 is not seen as a straight line unlike
the conventional bricks for sidewalk, but is formed going amiss up
and down. Accordingly, weeds cannot grow out of the upper side of
the bricks for sidewalk 1 from the surface of the land 5.
Industrial Applicability
According to the present invention described above, the
junction between the surface of the land and the brick for sidewalk
is formed going miss dually. The growth of weeds, etc. is
prohibited and two designs (a design of a brick body and a design
of a projection) are represented in the pedestrian sidewalk using a
single brick for sidewalk 1. It is thus possible to make beauty of
cities graceful and the brick for sidewalk long.
Furthermore, a projection of a plurality of bricks for
sidewalk is upwardly constructed on the surface of the land. The
projections of the bricks for sidewalk are reciprocally formed so
that they are inserted into the spaces 4 formed between the brick
bodies. The projections are supported between the alternating brick
bodies in parallel. Therefore, the present invention has effects
that bricks for sidewalk can be easily constructed and the flatness
can be maintained.
While the present invention has been described with reference
to the particular illustrative embodiments, it is not to be
restricted by the embodiments but only by the appended claims. It
is to be appreciated that those skilled in the art can change or
modify the embodiments without departing from the scope and spirit
of the present invention.
Claims
1. Functional bricks for sidewalk 1 that are constructed on
various pedestrian sidewalks or the bottom of stadium facilities,
wherein projections 3 of various shapes are integrally formed on a
hexahedral brick body 2, and spaces 4 of volume V being the same
as a 1/4 volume of the projections 3 are formed in four edge
directions on the plane of the brick body 2, whereby the
projections 3 and one brick body 2 are coincident with one another.
