Definitions
- the present invention concerns a rack for waste bags and hich is meant for placing onto a wheel barrow.
- the rack consists of a frame and a number of legs which are arranged with fastening arrangements, one end of the legs is linked physically to the frame and the other ends linked physically to the wheel barrow.
- a waste bag can be imposed stripped off and by and kept open by the frame.
- a waste bag can be inserted into the frame, and is kept open by it.
- the frame consists of an elongated, pre-bent and hollow metal tube formed preferably as a square or a rectangle, with one end preferably bowed 90° downward vertically - this vertical stump tube is mainly between 10 and 20 cm long.
- the framework provides a passage through which the waste bag can easily be placed into the frame itself, and subsequently rolled on and placed around and fastened in an open position.
- the frame is supported by mainly three legs (directed downwards), which preferable consist of tubes made mainly by metal, and this goes for the frame too. Each of these three legs is fixed with fittings.
- the three legs and frame should all be made mainly from metal.
- the two legs which are vertically parallel and positioned lean towards each other, are fixed with traditional wing fittings towards onto the frame, and mainly made of nylon.
- In the opposite end of all three legs fittings are fixed, profiled and designed to be fastened on the edge of the wheelbarrow.
- the lower ends of all three legs are designed to fasten securely onto the wheelbarrow using shaped, secure fittings.
- the fittings make contact with the edges of the wheelbarrow with the correct angles for the purpose to adjust of griping the edge, and will be effective regardless of the physical dimensions of the edge on a specific wheelbarrow.
- the two parallel legs positioned towards each other are getting fixed onto the long side of the truck body of the wheelbarrow, while the third leg preferably is preferably fixed onto the back rear side of the truck body of the wheelbarrow - (the part of the wheelbarrow where the handles are positioned).
- This very rear leg is fixed to the frame - above mentioned stump tube.
- These two tubes are tightly fixed to each other in the same way as tent poles are fixed to each other - one tube is inserted put into the other.
- the weight from the frame and from the waste bag will consequently fasten frame and legs together more firmly - especially when the waste bag is filled upfull.
- the decisive new to the present invention is the devices used to fasten to the legs of the frame to the wheelbarrow and represent a novel solution to a current problem.
- the fasten devices consist of fittings in which the top is formed as a cylindrical adapter that fits to the leg of the waste bag rack, and the lower part consists of two arms, one - three quarters round and the other is sloping related to the axis through the fitting. Looking at the arms, they might at first look like the inverted letter V turned around - like two wings.
- This special construction for fastening the rack to the wheelbarrow is very easy to operate and the fastening js very secure and stable. The rack can easily and quickly be mounted and dismantled. Finally it is easy to fold.
- the rack is not in any way supported at the bottom and so you risk the bag falling out of the frame. Even though if you move the waste bag into the truck body of the wheelbarrow it is still an unsatisfactory arrangement. A very oblique angle will arise, when you respectively lift the wheelbarrow and hence subsequently when you lower it again.
- Fig. 1 rack mounted on wheelbarrow la the frame of the rack lb the racks three legs
- Fig. 2 rack mounted on wheelbarrow, illustrating the third legs fastening to the frame
- Fig. 3 example of traditional wing fitting fastening leg to the frame.
- Fig. 4 custom-made fittings.
- the design of the fittings is adapted physically to the edge of the truck body of the wheelbarrow. 4a right wing of the fitting
- FIG. 1 shows the rack mounted on the wheelbarrow.
- the dimensions have a character of lightness and of elegance. Hollow tubes of light metal are lightweight and easy to handle.
- the wheelbarrow on the pictures has a standard size, but the rack can be used on both bigger and smaller wheelbarrows. Because of the flexibility of the material chosen and because of the ingenious construction you can easily make the legs straddle more or less or to adapt to different sized wheelbarrows.
- Figure 2 shows a view of the rack and mounted on the wheelbarrow perspective seeing obliquely from top and from the left behind and slightly to the rear and left of the wheelbarrow. By this the fixing point of the third leg on the wheelbarrow is revealed.
- FIG.2a By bending one end of the frame the vertically downwards, the 10 to 20 cm long stump tube appears (fig.2a). A small passage occurs (fig. 2b) through which the waste bag can be mounted or dismantled.
- the stability of the rack is supported by the pressure from the legs into the fittings. The strength of the pressure is proportional with to the total weight of the frame, the waste bag and the contents of the same.
- Figure 3 shows the fastening to the frame of one of the two parallel legs.
- a traditional wing fitting squeezes around the frame.
- the wing fitting is preferably made of nylon and possesses the advantages associated with this material - coupled shape-memory, giving the wing fitting a tight grip it squeezes the frame.
- Figure 4a, 4b and 4c show examples on partially of parts loose fittings, which are purposely meant for being fastened to the edge of the truck body of the wheelbarrow.
- edge of the truck body of a wheelbarrow formed like a bulb - the truck body's upper edge is folded back as a three quarter round tube. Hereby you avoid sharp edges.
- Fig. 4a shows an example of the right wing of a fitting - right related to the observer, who watches the figure on the paper.
- the left wing fitting (4b) is different. It is angled a few degrees in outwards direction towards the cylindrically formed leg adapter for a leg (fig. 4c).
- the angle is less than the angle on the sloping inner side of the truck body (fig.2c).
- the different between the angle of the fitting and the angle on the sloping inner side of the truck body (2c) results in consequently the press outwards exerted by the left wing of the fitting.
- this design of fitting acts as a shock absorber, greatly reducing the chance of a loaded bag being displaced, or structural failure of any component of the frame (such as a broken support leg).
- the diameter between the left and rights wing is proportioned in a way that you only need to push on the fittings with a little pressure to securely and fasten the same on them to the edge of the truck body. Equally, you need little energy to redraw the fittings from the edge and dismantle the rack. However you have to add that the bulb not always has a one-dimensional size, the bulb might differ in size, but you will have no problems with securing the fittings.
- the fittings are preferably made of nylon - a material with a great tolerance and which is capable of extending. According to - as previous mentioned - bigger or smaller wheelbarrows the cylindrical part of the fitting (fig. 4c) is capable of bending correlated to the angle on the attached leg.
- Figure 4c demonstrates how the right wing of the fitting clings a round the outer and upper part of the edge of the truck body.
- Figure 5 illustrates the folded rack placed in the bottom of the wheelbarrow.
