Abstract

In der Neutronenforschung werden die Instrumente, bzw. ihre Neutronenstrahlrohre auf Moderatoren ausgerichtet, die durch sogenannte 'Decoupler' (Entkoppler) getrennt werden. Der Einbauraum der Moderatoren ist begrenzt und das häufige Auswechseln eines erschöpften Decouplers führt nachteilig zu Ausfallzeiten. Die Erfindung betrifft ein Decouplersystem insbeondere für Moderatoren in der Neutronenforschung, bei dem eine ein Decouplermaterial umfassende Folie zwischen den Moderatoren entlang geführt wird, und über wenigstens eine Rolle zum Umlenken, Ab- oder Aufrollen der Folie geleitet wird. Das erfindungsgemäße Decouplersystem ermöglicht vorteilhaft zunächst einen mehrfachen Austausch der Decouplerfolie zwischen den Moderatoren bevor ein endgültiger Austausch des gesamten Systems erforderlich ist.
