A holder for a liquid permeable working element is disclosed. It comprises a substantially plane rack (1), at the upper side provided with fastening elements (2,4) for fastening at a liquid permeable handle. The rack is provided with a central opening (5) for a flow, and with several relatively small openings, through which fastening hooks (12) may be inserted, which are designed with protrusions (15,16), intended to penetrate, at the lower side of the rack, a penetrable working element (18) like a sponge, cork etc, and to keep same against the rack. The holder is especially characterized in that the fastening hooks (12) and the rack (1) are designed such that the fastening hooks after having been inserted in the openings of the rack are secured by spring locks.

Description

Holder for liquid permeable working element
The present invention relates to a holder for liquid permeable working element, comprising a substantially plane rack, at the upper side provided with fastening elements for preferably disengageable fastening at a liquid permeable handle, the rack being provided with a central opening for a flow, the rack being designed with several relatively small openings, through which fastening hooks may be inserted, the fastening hooks being designed with protrusions, intended to penetrate, at the lower side of the rack, a penetrable working element like a sponge, cork etc, and to keep same against the rack.
Such a holder is known, e g from the Swedish patent SE 9501008-8 with publishing number 510 877. When it was published it meant per se a step forward in the actual field, but it was limited to some embodiments.
In US 2955311 Al a somewhat complicated holder is disclosed. In this there is a pair of turnable rods provided with bent claws, which may turn into a working element by turning the rods.
It has become obvious, that there is a demand for a holder of the art mentioned introductorily, that has a general use and that is simple and reliable.
According to the invention such a holder is primarily characterized in that the fastening hooks and the racks are designed such, that the fastening hooks after having been inserted in the openings of the rack are secured by spring locks. These may be designed such, that a spring portion is at the rack and a protrusion at a fastening hook. As an alternative, the spring portion may be at the fastening hook and the corresponding protrusion at the rack.
By this embodiment the rack may be designed in many different ways, it may for example be rectangular, circle formed, oval etc. The working element may thus also show different forms and be manufactured from materials with varying hardness. The only requirement is, that they are permeable to fastening hooks. The working elements may be adapted to different areas of usage, such as human hygiene and cleaning of articles, and working of surfaces e g by wet grinding.
In one advantageous embodiment of the holder the fastening hooks, at their portion extending through the openings of the rack to the upper side of same, are designed with gripper elements intended to hold grinding cloth etc bent over the opposite edges of the rack stretched over the lower side of the working element
In one further suitable embodiment of the holder the openings of the rack are, at least at one side, designed like recesses, extending from the side such that the protrusions of the fastening hooks penetrating in the working element are insertable in said recesses. This embodiment facilitates bringing together the rack and the working element. Fastening hooks are thus pressed down in the working element in positions, corresponding to openings in the rack, and then the rack is pushed, somewhat inclined, guided by the recesses at the already fastened fastening hooks, whereupon the rack is pressed downwards over the rest of the fastening hooks. In order to facilitate bringing together the working element and the rack the holder may comprise a mounting element located at one side of a working element, whereas the mounting element is designed with a plane upper portion, provided with openings for fastening hooks and one transverse side, adjacent to the upper portion, intended to determine the distance of the plane side to the working element. The rack is pushed in under the plane upper portion of the mounting element.
The invention will be described more in detail, reference being made to the enclosed figures, which show, schematically some embodiments. Thus there is shown in:
Figure 1 A a side view of one rack.
Figure 1 B a view from above of the rack in figure 1 A
Figure 1 C a view from below of the rack in figure 1 A
Figures 2 A- 2 D at an enlarged scale, views from the front, from two sides and from above of a fastening hook, Figure 3 A a side view of a working element with penetrated fastening hooks, Figure 3 B the article in figure 3 A combined with a rack, Figure 4 A a side view of a grinding cloth, Figure 4 B a side view of the grinding cloth in figure 4 A mounted at a holder according to the invention combined with a working element, Figure 5 A a view from above of an alternative embodiment of a rack, Figure 5 B a view from below of the rack in figure 5 A, Figure 6 A a side view of a mounting element,
Figure 6 B a view from above of the mounting element in figure 6 A, Figures 6 C- 6 E three stages when bringing together on one hand a working element with penetrated fastening hooks and a mounting element and on the other hand a rack according to figures 5 A and 5 B.
In figures 1 A - 1 D a plane rectangular rack is marked by 1 and fastening elements at the upper side of the rack for disengageable fastening of the rack at a liquid permeable handle by 2,3 and 4. The rack is designed with a central opening 5 for a flow, designed with a cylindrical stud. In the rack, there are four openings 6,7,8 and 9 provided with spring lock elements 10 according to figure 1 D. At the lower side of the rack there are a number of knobs 11.
In the figures 2 A - 2 D there is shown one fastening hook, generally marked by 12, in different views. The fastening hook is formed with an upper portion 13, where a catch 14 protrudes somewhat. This catch is intended to cooperate with the spring lock 10 at the rack. The fastening hook is at its lower portion provided with two transversal excesses 15 and 16. The upper portion 13 is at its top designed like a gripper element in the form of a hook 17. From figures 3 A and 3 B it is obvious how a working element in the form of a sponge 18 first is provided with penetrating fastening hooks 12, in figure 3 A, which then according to figure 3 B are caused to be led up through corresponding openings in the rack 1.
The mounting of a grinding cloth 19 at the holder with a working element 18, e g in the form of a cork plate, is shown in the figures 4 A and 4 B. The grinding cloth 18 is thus stretched between the upper hooks 17 of the fastening hooks.
One advantageous embodiment of the holder according to the invention is disclosed in the figures 5 A, 5 B, 6 A- 6 E. Here the rack has four openings, of which two, marked by 6 and 8, are similar to the openings in the embodiment previously shown. Two of the openings, 20 and 21, are, however, formed like recesses, extending from the opposite side of the rack 1. One mounting element 22 is shown in figures 6 A and 6 B. It consists of a plane upper portion with openings 23 and 24 with spring locks 10 and a transverse side intended to determine the distance of the plane side to the working element. In figure 6 C there is shown how a mounting element 22 is located with a fastening hook 12 extending up from a working element 18, where the fastening hook has been firstly pressed down. From figures 6 D and 6 E it is seen how the rack is put in under the mounting element 22 such that the openings 23 and 24 embrace, whereupon the rack 1 is let down towards the working element 18 such that the fastening hooks, hitherto freely extending upwards, are led into the corresponding openings. Several embodiments are possible within the scope of the invention. The spring lock may, for instance be located at the fastening hook.
