Abstract

The invention relates to a method for the production of profiled parts and to an installation which is used to carry out said method. According to the invention, a standard extruder (1) is used to produce a strip of material (7) which forms the core of the profiled parts to be produced. Upon leaving the extruder, the aforementioned strip receives a lining or envelope (3-3') which is supplied by a pair of coils (4-4'). Subsequently, the strip of lined material (7) moves to an intermittently-operating press (9-11) which provides the strip of material (7) with its final profile. The intermittently-operating press (9-11) can be moved longitudinally such that it moves in the closed position with the strip (7) at the same speed at which said strip is being moved by an upstream conveyor (16) and such that it returns sharply to the open position in order to process a new segment of strip (7).

The invention also concerns the installation for the implementation of said method.
The object of the invention is to achieve a remarkable reduction of costs in the process, fundamentally based on a considerably simpler installation, and all this in parallel with optimum functionality, which ensures a better finish of the final product.
ANTECEDENTES DE LA INVENCIÓNBACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Profiled pieces based on a core of material are known thermoplastic, loaded or not, core that is protected at least with a sheet of flexible material.
Profiled pieces of this type were already known in the Spanish invention patent 523121 in which a continuous manufacturing process thereof is described.
Specifically, said process begins with the heating of the thermoplastic material, to bring it to its softening temperature, and in an extrusion process the desired profile is continuously obtained, by applying a pair of sheets to the exit of the row of the extruder. of covering that avoid deformations in the core by the semi-flooded state of the constituent material thereof, according to a technique that is also known in said patent, to then subject the profile to a calendering phase where it will acquire a section substantially close to the final one, which is finally achieved in a forming phase, at a temperature lower than that of calendering and where rollers with the profile of the piece to be obtained participate, as in said calendering.
Both the calendering rollers and the forming rollers constitute precision parts, of important cost and maintenance, that have a negative impact on the profitability of the process.
DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA INVENCIÓNDESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The method proposed by the invention solves in a fully satisfactory manner the above-mentioned problem, based on two complementary characteristics, on the one hand to the non-use of forming rollers, and on the other hand to the use of a calendering phase, which entails the need not to have calendering rollers.
For this, and more specifically, the method of the invention, based on a continuous extrusion phase and application when necessary of a laminar envelope, unavoidable phases and in the public domain, focuses its characteristics on the fact that the conformation of The profiled part is carried out in a molding phase by intermittent pressing and simultaneous cooling, then the profile is continuously subjected to a cutting phase and the final cooling thereof.
The aforementioned intermittent pressing molding phase is carried out in collaboration with a press that, with a scissor or parallel opening, is able to press the strip of material, provide the latter with the configuration provided for it and make said configuration stable by cooling the strip within the press itself.
Since the extrusion process takes place continuously, the aforementioned press is part of a mobile carriage, which in the closing situation for it moves at the same speed and in the same direction as the strip of material, with an amplitude of sufficient movement so that the time of stay of the closed clamp is adequate so that the cooling of the same ensures the definitive stability of its shape, while in the opening phase for the press the carriage travels in the opposite direction and at high speed to close on a new sector of the strip of material and repeat its operating cycle.
At the exit of the molding press there is a mechanism of drag, consisting of at least one pair of roulettes that, duly motorized, pull the profiled piece, without said roulettes having to copy the shapes corresponding to the profile of the piece since it is already due and definitely shaped.
After this dragging or pulling of the profile, a cutting unit is placed, which conveniently fragments the continuous profile, in sections of the expected length.
According to a variant embodiment, the said drive mechanism can be replaced in a second phase of intermittent pressing, by a second press that works out of date or alternatively with the first one, so that while the first press is in an inoperative situation or opening, the second is in a situation of closure and drag, and vice versa, which is achieved to lengthen the cooling time of the profiled part to be the second press also refrigerated, as well as the first.
In the case of wanting to obtain other types of pieces such as tacos or pallet legs, with a prismatic configuration where the laminar envelope is unnecessary, but with a perfect both dimensional and surface finish, the installation has the peculiarity that the corresponding press It incorporates two clamps or jaws that act perpendicularly to each other, so that in the closing situation they detect a teπninal envelope for the slat of material, ensuring a perfect formal and dimensional stability for said slat, while the cooling phase of the same is taking place in The bosom of the press.
In this variant embodiment, the four press plates defined by its double clamp or jaw will be properly shaped so that, in the situation of closing the press, they delimit a perimeter space formally and dimensionally coinciding with the slat of material to be obtained, dishes that will be properly refrigerated to achieve rapid cooling and hardening of the mass of the constituent material of the lath, establishing following said press the corresponding drag rollers for said slat, that is to say with the cutting mechanisms for fragmentation thereof.

REALIZACIÓN PREFERENTE DE LA INVENCIÓNPREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
In view of the figures outlined, and more specifically of Figure 1, it can be seen how in said installation participates an extruder (1), of any conventional type, of one or two spindles with different lengths and diameters, depending on the mold of cornice to be manufactured, where appropriate, of the corner mold or element in question, and with different melting temperatures depending on the raw materials used, which may be new and recycled plastic materials of different types. types of plastic and with different mixtures such as cardboard, sawdust, etc.
At the exit of the extruder (1) there are a pair of rollers (2- 2 '), one upper and one lower, intended to supply respective liner sheets (3-3') from respective coils (4-4 ' ) and assisted, at least one of them, in the example of practical embodiment chosen the lower one (3 '), by a shaper (5) that with a perfectly flat end, closest to the corresponding roller (2'), adopts in its opposite end (6) a tubular configuration, so that said liner (5) adapts to the strip of material (7) generated by the extruder (1).
In figure 1, the relative arrangement between the liner sheets (3-3 ') and the strip of material (7) constituting the core, at the entrance and exit of the former (5), is shown.
Following said shaper (5) the continuous molding press is established which, on a fixed platform (8), the actual press materialized in a lower plate (9) consisting of a movable carriage on the platform is alternately movable platform (8), for example through wheels (10), lower plate (9) with which an upper plate (11) collaborates, which can be movable parallel to the lower plate (9) or can be related thereto by a scissor type joint, as shown in figure 1, incorporating in any case each of these plates (9) and (11) respective internal hairpieces (12) and (13), replaceable, which for example can be configured, between they, the profile (14) corresponding to a corner like the one shown in figure 1, the profile corresponding to a mold (15) for formwork of cornices like the one shown in figure 2, or any other type of profile. The plates (9) and (11) will be refrigerated to achieve that, parallel to the pressing and forming of the strip of material (7), the formal stability of the same is achieved.
As previously stated, the carriage constituted by the press itself moves on the base and fixed platform (8) in the direction of advance of the material strip (7), at a speed in accordance with that determined by the extruder (1), so that the closed press accompanies the strip (7) during a path of approximately 30 cm, sufficient for the formal conformation and stabilization of a strip segment (7) to occur, and immediately afterwards the plates (9) and (11) of the press open, in the position shown in figure 1, and return sharply to their initial position, moving in the opposite direction on the platform (8), without affecting the strip at all of material (7), to close again on said strip when reaching its extreme position closest to the extruder (1), repeating from there its operating cycle, that is to say closing on the strip of material (7) and moving again at speed of said t go to.
The profiled part (14-15), at its exit from the molding press, passes through a pulling or pulling station (16), composed of two fields of motorized roulettes (17) that act as dragging means of said profiled part ( 14-15), which finally passes through a cutting mechanism (18), where the definitive fragmentation of it occurs.
Once the profiled part (14-15) in question is fragmented, the segments obtained pass to a vertical ferris wheel with several positions, which allows them to cool while they circulate, before being packed.
On the other hand, the possibility of installation is also planned shown in figure 4, in which the pulling station (16) has been eliminated and replaced by a second continuous press (9'-ll '), also movable on the base and fixed platform (8) but of alternative operation with the press (9-11), that is, while the latter is in an open situation, in an inoperative situation, it is the second press (9'-ll ') that is in a closed situation, causing the movement with drag of the strip of material (14-15), and at the end of its path, when it opens, it is when the first press (9-11) closes and the drag of the strip of material continues.
This achieves that the molding phase is double, being carried out mostly in the first molding press (9-11), and finishing in the second molding press (9'-ll '), while lengthening the cooling time when both presses are refrigerated, so that the formal stability of the continuous strip of material, at the exit of the installation, is remarkably enhanced.
In certain practical cases, such as for the manufacture of "studs" for pallets and the like, it is not necessary for the profiled parts to incorporate an envelope (3-3 '), such as those mentioned above, so in this case the The installation will lack the feeding system of said liner sheets, that is, the rollers (2), the supports for the coils (4) and the former (5), so that in this case the continuous mass (7) of material, at its exit from the extruder (1), penetrates directly into the continuous molding press as seen in figure 3.
Concretamente, como se representa en la figura 5, con la obtención de un listón (19) o masa de material, con una sección rectangular pero inestable, dicho listón (19) se hace pasar a través de una prensa montada sobre un carro (20), con el específico movimiento alternativo a que se ha hecho mención con anterioridad, carro sobre el que está montado un plato (21), con interposición de un cabezal refrigerador (22), colaborando con dicho plato (21) un plato superior (23), a su vez con su correspondiente cabezal refrigerador (24) y accionado por cualquier medio apropiado, como por ejemplo mediante cilindros hidráulicos o neumáticos (25), de manera que dicho plato superior (23) está destinado a desplazarse verticalmente contra el listón (19), concretamente sobre la cara superior del mismo, por efecto de los cilindros (25), según se representa en la figura 5.Specifically, as shown in Figure 5, with the obtaining of a slat (19) or mass of material, with a rectangular but unstable section, said lath (19) is passed through a press mounted on a carriage (20), with the specific alternative movement mentioned above, carriage on which a plate (21) is mounted, with interposition of a cooling head (22), collaborating with said plate (21 ) an upper plate (23), in turn with its corresponding cooling head (24) and operated by any appropriate means, such as hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders (25), so that said upper plate (23) is intended for move vertically against the slat (19), specifically on the upper face thereof, as a result of the cylinders (25), as shown in Figure 5.
Complementariamente, en las zonas laterales del carro (20) se montan sobre el mismo, con la colaboración de soportes (26) apropiados, respectivos juegos de cilindros (27-27'), cuyos vastagos desplazan transversalmente, en sentido de aproximación o distanciamiento, a otros dos platos (28-28'), asistidos por respectivos cabezales refrigeradores (29-29') y destinados a actuar a su vez sobre las caras laterales del listón de material (19), de manera que en situación de cierre de la prensa los platos (21-23-28- 28') determinan una conducción perimetralmente cerrada, formal y dimensionalmente acorde con la sección prevista con la sección del listón o material (19).Complementarily, in the lateral areas of the carriage (20) they are mounted on it, with the collaboration of appropriate supports (26), respective sets of cylinders (27-27 '), whose rods move transversely, in the direction of approach or distancing, to two other plates (28-28 '), assisted by respective cooling heads (29-29') and intended to act in turn on the side faces of the material strip (19), so that in the situation of closing the press the plates (21-23-28-28 ') determine a perimeter closed, formal and dimensionally conductive according to the section provided with the section of the slat or material (19).
As shown in Figures 6 and 7, the configuration of the plates, and especially the side plates (28-28 '), will vary depending on the section provided for the material strip (19), so that when it is perfectly rectangular, as is the case in figure 5, the plates (28-28 ') will present their perfectly flat operating faces. When it is intended that the strip (19 ') has its truncated edges, as in the case of Figure 6, the operative side of the plates (28-28') will have triangular expansions (30) in their marginal areas, while when it is a question of obtaining a ribbon (19 ") of triangular configuration, as represented in figure 7, said side plates (28-28 ') will present their sharply oblique operating faces (31).
Evidentemente, los listones (19-19'-19"), que aparecen en las figuras 5, 6 y 7, constituyen algunas de las múltiples posibilidades de realización práctica para dichos listones, siendo evidente para cualquier experto en la materia la configuración que deben adoptar los platos (21-23-Obviously, the slats (19-19'-19 "), which appear in Figures 5, 6 and 7, constitute some of the multiple possibilities of practical realization for said slats, the configuration that must be evident for any person skilled in the art adopt the dishes (21-23-
28-28'), en función de la sección prevista para el listón de material.28-28 '), depending on the section provided for the material strip.
En cualquier caso, se consigue que dicho listón de material (19-In any case, it is achieved that said material strip (19-
19'-19 "), during the cooling phase that is going to stabilize your final configuration, keep the configuration and dimensions provided for it accurately. Otherwise, as in the embodiment shown in Figure 1, at the outlet from the aforementioned four-plate press, a pulling or pulling station will be located, based on motorized roulettes, and finally the cutting mechanism to obtain the final pieces.
