Abstract
The two-part safety closure provides protection against unauthorized opening of a container for liquids, hermetical sealing between two openings and against loss of liquids during the transport thereof. The two-part safety closure is intended for closing the containers (1) for liquid materials that are being used by frequent pouring out small quantities thereof from said containers requiring frequent opening and closing. Present invention provides for simple and quick opening and closing of the cover (14) and a very reliable protection against unauthorized opening and against an accidental opening during the transportation of such containers providing at the same time sufficient protection during the transportation. The first opening of the cover (14) causes the rupture of the weakened part (7) between the safety ring (6) and the cover (14), and first unscrewing of the closure body (5) causes the rupture of the weakened part (3) signaling the unauthorized opening of the container (1).
Description
TWO-PART SAFETY CLOSURE
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
Present invention belongs to the field of plastic containers for storing, transporting and direct using of different liquid materials in various fields of application including the domestic applications.
According to the Interational Clasiffication of Patents (ICP), this invention can be clasiffied and defined by the following clasiffication symbols: B 65 D 17/02, B 65 D 41/04, B 65 D 45/02, D 65 D 53/00, B 65 D 55/02
TECHNICAL PROBLEM
The main problem to be solved with the containers for holding various liquids that are being used by frequent pouring out small quantities thereof from said containers is how to provide for simple and quick opening of such containers providing at the same time sufficient protection during the transportation. Present invetion prevents unauthorized opening of containers before said goods reach the user, besides offering an additional protection against an unwanted - accidental opening of containers and missing of their contents during the transportation.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Similar closure structures relating to a better sealing between the closures and the containers are known, as well as the closures with a single safety ring. The known closures were not able to prevent the unauthorized openig of the containers as the closures lack a two-part safety ring that prevents missing the content of containers during the transport, as well as preventing an unauthorized openig thereof before the use by the final user. The closures in the evidence of the Patent Office under the nos. 40289 (application 3120/76) and 170 MP (application 131/76) cannot solve the afore mentioned problem
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
Two-part safety closure serves for the closing of containers for storing liquid contents. It is particulary suitable for the household. The essence of this invention is in the prevention of the unauthorized as well of accidental opening of containers during the transportation. This advantage is provided by two safety rings so designed to part when the container is being opened for the first time, one staying on the container, the other on the closure, as shown in the Figures 1 and 2. For the daily use, the container is easily opened and closed by simple pulling or pushing the said closure, said closure providing a very good sealing of the liquid pouring spout preventing the loss of the liquid.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING S
Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section of the two-part closure and container assembly in the "closed" position.
Fig. 2 is a longitudinal section of the two-part closure and container assembly in the "open" position.
Fig. 3 is a cross section of the two-part closure along the A- A line in Fig. 1.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Two-part safety closure comprises a body 5 and the cover 14. The closure body 5 has an internal thread 4 that engages a corresponding thread on the neck of the container 1, and on its lower part the body 5 has a safety ring 2 of the triangular cross-section, its inner diameter being smaller than that of the ring-like abutment 17 on the container's 1 neck, said ring 2 being connected to said body 5 by a weakened part 3, on its upper part said body 5 having a neck 15 with a protrusion 16 on its lower part and a ring-like protrusion 9 and a conical part 12 with openings 11 for releasing the liquid on its upper part.
The cover 14 is of cylindrical shape with a conical opening 13 on the top, said opening engaging the conical part 12 of the neck 15, an external ring-like protrusion 10, an inner ring-like protrusion 8 of a square cross-section its inner diameter being smaller than that of the ring-Hke protrusion 9, an external safety ring 6 of a square cross-section its inner diameter being smaller than that of the external ring-like protrusion 16, said safety ring 6 being connected to said cover 14 by a weakened part 7.
MODE OF USING THE INVENTION
Closing of the container 1 is attained by pulling the cover 14 over the neck 15 of the closure body 5 until the safety ring 6 passes the ring 16, and then the closure body 5 is screwed on the neck of the container 1 until the safety ring 2 is positioned under the ring-like protrusion 17.
When using the content of the container 1 for the first time, the cover 14 is by pulling up the ring-like protrusion 10 brought to position "open", as shown in Fig. 2, so that protrusion 8 engages the ring-like protrusion 9, preventing the cover 14 from departing from the neck 15 while allowing the content of the container 1 to pour out through the openings 11. To allow the cover 14 to attain the position "open" the weakened part 7 is to be ruptured, as shown in Fig 2.
When bringing the cover to position "closed" its conical opening 13 engages the conical part 12 of the neck 15 providing the sealing and preventig the loss of the content from the container 1.
Content of the container 1 can be used by unscrewing the closure body 5 from the neck of the conteiner 1 so that the weakened part 3 ruptures and the safety ring 2 stays under the protrusion 17 od the container's neck.
