Abstract

The invention relates to a drive unit designed for industrial manufacturing, in particular for machine-tools. Said unit comprises a bearing housing and an actuator that extends in the direction of a longitudinal axis, said actuator being mounted on two bearings that lie at a distance from one another in a longitudinal direction parallel to the longitudinal axis and are fixed to the bearing housing and being mounted so that it can be displaced in relation to the bearing housing and can rotate about the longitudinal axis in relation to said housing. The aim of the invention is to configure said drive unit in the most advantageous manner. To achieve this, secondary sub-elements are arranged on the actuator to induce a rotative linear drive of said actuator around the longitudinal axis and a translatory linear drive in the longitudinal direction, said sub-elements forming at least one secondary sub-structure that acts in a rotative manner and at least one secondary sub-structure that acts in a translatory manner. In addition, primary sub-elements are arranged around the actuator to induce a rotative linear drive of said actuator around the longitudinal axis and a translatory linear drive in the longitudinal direction, said primary sub-elements forming at least one primary sub-structure that acts in a rotative manner and at least one primary sub-structure that acts in a translatory manner.
