  • FIG. 3 is an alternative embodiment of the banknote comprising the security device 5, the display means 6 and the on-board power supply 7 for driving the security device and the display means as well, which is a photovoltaic cell.
  • This embodiment differs form the embodiment of FIG. 1 and 2 in that the substrate 1 of the banknote is made of transparent material and the photovoltaic cell and the LCD display means are integrated into the substrate to protect these devices from mechanical and chemical attacks.

Abstract

Selon l'invention, un document de sécurité, en particulier un billet de banque, comprend un substrat (1) et un système d'alimentation intégré (7) permettant d'alimenter une nouvelle classe de moyen de sécurité électronique à l'aide du système d'alimentation intégré. L'avantage représenté par un système d'alimentation intégré réside dans le fait que tous les moyens électroniques utilisant de l'énergie électrique peuvent être considérés comme des dispositifs de sécurité, c'est-à-dire tous les dispositifs électroniques présentant des fonctions appropriées permettant d'identifier et/ou d'authentifier un billet de banque sans utiliser d'appareil extérieur. L'un des aspects les plus importants de l'invention est que le moyen d'alimentation intégré est une cellule photovoltaïque, ce qui signifie que la puissance électrique de cette dernière est auto-produite et auto-entretenue.
