Abstract

The invention relates to artificial esterases wherein, on the basis of the amino acid sequence of a pig liver esterase, at least one defined amino acid exchange has been effected, making it possible to modify the enantioselectivity of the enzyme and in some cases to improve the activity and temperature stability.
