TOOL FOR CONTROLLING A DRAWING-UP STATUS OF DOCUMENTS RELEVANT TO THE POLICE AFFAIRS
TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a computer-related tool for writing and managing documents relevant to the police affairs ("DRPAs") and more particularly to a tool for writing and managing DRPAs, which may establish efficient computing environment by systematically combining individual features of database management programs and word processing programs to a part of an information processing device for the appropriate DRPA writing works and enable police officers to selectively perform reference material utilization guide process, individual writing material utilization guide process, DRPA statistics material utilization guide process, etc. through simple computing works. In this manner, police officers with the simple knowledge required to use word processing programs may conveniently write and manage DRPAs without receiving any special training for this purpose.
BACKGROUND ART
With the complication of living style and environment, various types of crimes are abruptly increasing these days and, accordingly, the police works related to various civil and criminal incidents are also increasing sharply.
In addition to such increased amount of works including investigation and arrest of criminals, police officers generally have to write many types of DRPAs such as investigation report, official record, and so forth. Under these circumstances, the word processing programs that are widely used these days have been efficient assisting devices helping police officer's DRPA writing.
However, because most police officers are using word processing programs
merely as typewriters, police officers often encounter with inconveniences in following situations for example. Police officers have to repeat inputting information related to individuals, etc. every time when a report must be made, search and obtain various materials (e.g., writing samples, relevant legal provisions, etc.) through various paths (e.g., ask senior officers, refer to books, etc.) every time such materials are required for preparation of a report and write documents separately in order to use them for statistics. Further, police officers often cannot use their previous reports related to similar cases for a new report writing, cannot systematically manage DRPAs that the individual officers have written or cannot conveniently utilize the past statistics data. Adopting a database management program for the DRPA writing and management may decrease the above-mentioned difficulties that police officers are experiencing to a certain extent. However, the data input platform of an ordinary database management program is very different from the input platform of word processing programs. Thus, it is in reality difficult to teach police officers how to use database management programs and as a result police officers have not been able to adopt any efficient and realistic measures to resolve the above-mentioned problems.
Under these circumstances, if the efficiency in police officers' DRPA processing is below certain level due to the above-mentioned problems, more time will be required for handling the police works and there will be increasing waste in police resources resultantly.
DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION
The object of the present invention is to establish efficient computing environment by systematically combining individual features of database management programs and word processing programs to a part of an information processing device
for the appropriate DRPA writing works (e.g., provide an interface platform of the ordinary word processing program with which police officers are familiar and provide module environment which may expeditiously accept and process DRPA data inputted through said interface platform of the word method, and store the inputted DRPA data in the appropriate data format, and provide module environment for systematic post management of the database data) and enable police officers to selectively perform reference data utilization guide process, individual writing data utilization guide process, DRPA statistics data utilization guide process, etc. through simple computing works based upon the established computing environment, and thus to induce police officers with simple knowledge required to use word processing programs to conveniently write and manage DRPAs without receiving any special training.
It is another object of the present invention to provide efficient computing environment by systematically combining individual features of database management programs and word processing programs to a part of an information processing device for the appropriate DRPA writing works in order to maximize police officers' DRPA processing efficiency and minimize the time required for handling the police works, thus preventing the waste of police resources.
Other objects of the present invention will be apparent from the following detailed description and the attached drawings. In order to achieve the above objects, the present invention provides a tool for writing and managing DRPAs comprising: a DRPA writing control module that, according to the computing event at the user side transmitted through the operating system, displays and renews a DRPA writing guide platform and a DRPA input platform selectively, guides the DRPA data input and storage procedures through said DRPA input platform, searches and selects previously stored reference compositions
and DRPA data, connects and inserts them to the DRPA input platform, conducts statistics process on the DRPA data, and selectively displays them on said DRPA writing guide platform; a platform management module that, upon establishing signal connection relationship with said DRPA writing control module and under the control of the DRPA writing control module, divides and configures a search frame (Explorer Frame) and a view frame (View Frame), thereby generates the DRPA writing guide platform in a finished format and, further, receives a stored specific document form according to a request of the DRPA writing control module and generates the DRPA input platform in a finished format; a DRPA editing management module that, upon establishing signal connection relationship with said DRPA writing control module and under the control of the DRPA writing control module, selectively guides procedures for DRAP data recording and editing conducted based upon the DRPA input platform; an information input/output management module that, upon establishing signal connection relationship with said DRPA writing control module and under the control of the DRPA writing control module, converts DRPA data recorded and edited based upon the DRPA input platform to the database format, thereafter, stores the converted DRPA data and selectively extracts stored DRPA data according to a request of the DRPA writing control module; and a DRPA database that establishes signal connection relationship with the DRPA writing control module through said information input/output management module and, under the control of the information input/output management module, stores and manages DRPA data.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION Reference will now be made in detail to a tool for writing and managing
DRPAs according to preferred embodiments of the present invention as illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
As shown in Figure 1, the tool for writing and managing DRPAs 100 according to the present invention comprises largely a DRPA writing control module 10, a platform management module 13 which is in the signal connection relationship with the DRPA writing control module 10, a DRPA editing management module 11 and an information input/output control module 24. Preferably, the DRPA writing management tool 100 is installed on an information processing device 1 such as desktop computer, laptop computer, mobile communication device or PDA and in the close relationship with the operating system 2 of the information processing device for signal connection.
If a user, for example, a police officer, drives an input device 4 such as mouse or key board and performs certain computing work and if such computing event is delivered through the operating system, the DRPA writing control module 10 selects and conducts one of the following actions based upon the computing event of said user: "selectively displaying and renewing the DRPA writing guide platform and the
DRPA input platform", "guiding DRPA data input and storage through the DRPA input platform," "searching and selecting previously stored reference compositions and
DRPA data and connecting and inserting them to the DRPA input platform," and "collecting statistics from DRPA data and displaying them on the DRPA writing guide
platform," etc.
Preferably, the platform management module 13 conducts close communications with a platform source storage module 14 under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10, divides and configures search frame and view frame, and generates the DRPA writing guide platform in a finished format. At the same time, upon a request of the DRPA writing control module 10, the platform management module 13 receives the previously stored search menu, document forms, etc., and generates the DRPA input platform in a finished format. The platform source storage module 14 communicating with the platform management module 13 includes various sources such as "parameter source required for the platform generation routine," "instruction group required for the platform generation routine," "image source required for the platform generation routine," "font source required for the platform generation routine," "pattern source required for the platform generation routine" and assists the platform generation procedures of the platform management module 13.
The DRPA writing guide platform, the DRPA input platform, etc. are transmitted to the DRPA writing control module 10 and, through the operating system 2, are selectively renewed and outputted to the display device such as a monitor. A user such as a police officer uses these DRPA writing guide platform and DRPA input platform, etc. to write DRPAs that he or she wishes to prepare without any particular problems.
The DRPA editing management module 11, which is in a signal connection relationship with the DRPA writing control module 10, closely communicates with a
DRPA editing source storage module 12 under the control of the DRPA writing control module and continuously activates editing guide routines, and thereby guides
selectively the DRPA data recording and editing procedures conducted based upon the DRPA input platform. The DRPA editing source storage module 12 communicating with the DRPA editing management module 11 includes various sources such as "code source required for DRPA recording/editing guide," "font source required for DRPA recording/editing guide," "filter source required for DRPA recording/editing guide," "skin source required for DRPA recording/editing guide," and "template source required for DRPA recording/editing guide" and assists the facilitated DRPA writing/editing guide procedures of the DRPA editing management module 11.
The information input/output management module 24, which is in a signal connection relationship with the DRPA writing control module 10, converts the DRPA data recorded and edited based upon the DRPA input platform into the database format under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10. Thereafter, the information input output management module 24 stores the converted DRPA data in the DRPA database 31 to be described below and selectively extracts DRPA data from the DRPA database 31 upon request of the DRPA writing control module 10.
Further, as illustrated in the drawing, the DRPA writing control module 10 is in signal connection relationship with a document form management module 18, a search menu management module 22, a reference composition management module 20 and an information connection module 15, etc. The document form management module 18 conducts close communications with a document form generating source storage module 19 under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10 to selectively activate a series of document form generating routines and thereby generates document forms requested by the DRPA writing module 10 such as "arrest of criminal in the very act form," "warrant of arrest application form," "warrant application form," "interrogation application form."
Then, the document form management module 18 transmits the generated document forms to the DRPA writing control module 10. The document form generating source storage module 19 communicating with the document form management module 18 includes, for example, "parameter source required for document form generating routines," "instruction group required for document form generating routines," "image source required for document form generating routines," "font source required for document form generating routines," and "pattern source required for document form generating routines," etc. and assists the facilitated document form generating procedures of the document form management module 18. Various document forms generated according to the foregoing procedures are transmitted for example to the platform management module 13 via the DRPA writing control module 10. The platform management module 13 then may conveniently generate the DRPA writing guide platform, the DRPA input platform, etc. based upon said various document forms, as necessary in the future. The search menu management module 22, which is in a signal connection relationship with the DRPA writing control module 1, conducts close communications with a menu source storage module 23 under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10 to selectively activate a series of search menu generating routines and thereby generates a series of search menu items requested by the DRPA writing control module 10, and transmits the generated search menu items to the DRPA writing control module 10. The menu source storage module 23 communicating with the search menu management module 22 includes, for example, "parameter source required for document form generating routines," "instruction group required for search menu generating routines," "image source required for search menu generating routines," "font source required for search menu generating routines," and "pattern source
required for search menu generating routines," etc. and assists the facilitated search menu generating procedures of the search menu management module 22.
Various search menus generated according to the foregoing procedures are transmitted for example to the platform management module 13 via the DRPA writing control module 10. The platform management module 13 then may conveniently generate the DRPA writing guide platform based upon said various search menus, as necessary in the future.
The reference composition management module 20, which is in a signal connection relationship with the DRPA writing control module 10, conducts close communications with a reference composition source storage module 21 under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10 to selectively extract reference compositions stored in the reference composition source storage module 21 such as "sample writings required for writing a DRPA," "various laws and regulations required for writing a DRPA," and etc. and transmits the extracted reference compositions to the DRPA writing control module 10. The reference composition source storage module 21 communicating with the reference composition management module 20 includes, for example, "font source required for reference composition," "image source required for reference composition," "instruction group for reference composition," etc. and assists the facilitated reference composition generating procedures of the reference composition management module 22.
The information connection module 15, which is in a signal connection relationship with the DRPA writing control module 10, receives, for example,
"reference composition data generated by said reference composition management module 20," "similar DRPA data searched and extracted by a similar information search engine 25 to be described below," etc. under the control of the DRPA writing
control module 10. Thereafter, by conducting close communications with an information connection source storage module 16, the information connection module 15 selectively activates a series of information connection routines and selectively connects and inserts the received reference composition data, similar DRPA data, etc., into the DRPA input platform generated by the platform management module 13. The information connection source storage module 16 communicating with the information connection module 15 includes, for example, "parameter source required for information connection routines," "equation column source required for information connection routines," "instruction group required for information connection routines," "pattern source required for information connection routines," etc. and assists the facilitated information connection procedures of the information connection module 15.
On the other hand, as illustrated in the drawing, the DRPA writing control module 10 additionally has signal connection relationships with a similar information search engine 25, a similar information list management module 26, an accumulated information search engine 27, a statistics information generating module 28, and a statistics execution engine 29, etc.
The similar information search engine 25, under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10, selectively searches and extracts specific similar information requested by the DRPA writing control module 10 from the data stored in a DRPA database 31 to be described below and, thereafter, transmits the extracted specific similar information to the DRPA writing control module 10. The similar information list management module 26, under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10, conducts close communications with the similar information search engine 25 to generates a series of similar information list related to the searched and extracted
specific similar information and transmits the generated similar information list to the DRPA writing control module 10. The accumulated information search engine 27, under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10, selectively searches and extracts specific accumulated information requested by the DRPA writing control module 10 from the data stored in the DRPA database 31 and, thereafter, transmits the extracted accumulated information to the DRPA writing control module 10.
The statistics information generating module 28, which is in a signal connection relationship with the DRPA writing control module 10, receives a series of DRPA data from the DRPA writing control module 10 and thereafter generates a series of DRPA statistics data upon collecting statistics from the DRPA data under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10. Then, the statistics information generating module 29 selectively stores the generated DRPA statistics data in a DRPA statistics database 32, to be described below, selectively searches and extracts specific DRPA statistics information requested by the DRPA writing control module 10 from the data stored in the DRPA statistics database 32, under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10, and then transmits the extracted specific DRPA statistics information to the DRPA writing control module 10.
As illustrated in the drawing, the DRPA writing and management tool 100 of the present invention further comprises a data block 30 which is in a signal connection relationship with the DRPA writing control module 10 via said input/output management module 24, similar information search engine 25, accumulated information search engine 27, statistics information generating module 29, and statistics execution engine 29. The data block 30 includes the DRPA database 31 and the DRPA statistics database 32. While connected for signals to the DRPA writing control module 10 via said
information input/output management module 24, the DRPA database 31 included in the data block 30 stores and manages DRPA data with stability under the control of the information input/output management module 24. On the other hand, while connected for signals to the DRPA writing control module 10 via said statistics information generating module 28, the DRPA statistics database 32 stores and manages DRPA statistics data with stability under the control of the statistics information generating module 28.
Additionally, the DRPA writing control module 10 is in signal connection relationships with an operating source storage module 17 and a printing management module 33. The operating source storage module 17 stores and manages various resources such as "parameter source required for DRPA writing and management," "control instruction group required for DRPA writing and management," "equation column source required for DRPA writing and management," "pattern source required for DRPA writing and management," and etc. under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10 and assists the facilitated DRPA writing and management procedures by the DRPA writing control module 10. The printing management module 33 receives data required to be printed from the DRPA writing control module 10, generates printing request messages under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10 and transmits the generated printing request messages to the operating system 2, thereby enabling the DRPA writing control module 10 to have the desired data printed expeditiously through a printer 5.
Now, the specific DRPA writing and management process by the DRPA writing control module 100 will be explained in further detail.
A user, e.g., a police officer, establishes the basic computing environment in which the present invention may be implemented by installing the DRPA writing and
management tool 100 in an information processing device 1 that said user is managing. In this situation, if the police officer conducts certain computing works through the input device 4 such as a mouse or a keyboard and if such computing event is transmitted via the operating system 2, the DRPA writing control module 10 immediately controls the document form management module 18 an the search menu management module 22, etc. selectively and thereby conducts the initial DRPA writing guide platform generating procedures.
During these procedures, the search menu management module 22 conducts close communications with the menu source storage module 23 under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10 and selectively activates search menu generating routines. Thereafter, the search menu management module 22 generates search menu items requested by the DRPA writing control module 10 and transmits the generated search menu items to the DRPA writing control module 10.
The platform management module 13, after receiving the search menu generated by said search menu management module 22 through the DRPA writing control module 10, conducts close communications with the platform source storage module 14 under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10, divides and configures the search frame and the view frame, and based upon such frames generates the DRPA writing guide platform in a finished format. Upon the completion of the above procedures and upon the generation of the initial DRPA writing guide platform, the DRPA writing control module 10 immediately transmits said initial DRPA writing guide platform to the operating system 20. As a result, as illustrated in Figure 2, the search frame (EF) and the view frame (VF) are configured on the display device 3 such as a monitor screen upon dividing the screen, and the initial DRPA writing guide platform 201 with certain search menu items 202a
is displayed. In this situation, the user, e.g., the police officer, may conduct DRPA writing works without difficulty by utilizing said initial DRPA writing guide platform 201.
On the initial DRPA writing guide platform 201, if the police officer selects a specific menu item 202a, the DRPA writing control module 10 immediately conducts procedures to renew the initial DRPA writing guide platform 201 by selectively controlling the document form management module 18, the search menu management module 22 and the platform management module 13, etc.
For these procedures, the document form management module 18 conducts close communications with the document form generating source storage module 19 under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10 to selectively activate document form generating routines and thereby generates document forms requested by the DRPA writing control module 10 such as "form for arrest of criminal caught in the very act," "application form for warrant of arrest," "application form for warrant of detention," "application form for interrogation," etc. Then, the document form management module 18 transmits the generated document forms to the DRPA writing control module 10.
The search menu management module 22 conducts close communications with the menu source storage module 23 under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10 to selectively activate search menu generating routines and thereby generates search menu items requested by the DRPA writing control module 10, and then transmits the generated search menu items to the DRPA writing control module 10.
The platform management module 13, after receiving the search menu generated by said search menu management module 22 and the document forms generated by said document form management module 18 through the DRPA writing
control module 10, conducts close communications with the platform source storage module 14 under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10, divides and configures the search frame and the view frame, and then conducts the procedures for generating the DRPA writing guide platform in a finished format based upon such search frame and view frame.
Once the above-described procedures are completed and the DRPA writing guide platform has been generated, the DRPA writing control module 10 immediately transmits the DRPA writing guide platform to the operating system 2. As a result, as shown in Figure 3, the search frame (EF) and the view frame (VF) are formed in the display device 3 such as a monitor and the DRPA writing guide platform 203 equipped with certain search menu items 204a and 204b and the preview document form 205 may be displayed.
At the time when the DRPA writing guide platform 203 is displayed, if the police officer determines to write a document, the form of which is displayed as the preview document form 205 in the view frame (VF), and double-clicks the search menu item 204a, the DRPA writing control module 10 immediately conducts the selective control of the document form management module 19 and the platform management module 13 and conducts procedures to renew the displayed DRPA writing guide platform 203 as the DRPA input platform. During these procedures, the document form management module 18 conducts close communications with the document form generating source storage module 19 under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10 to selectively activate certain document form generating routines and thereby generates the document form requested by the DRPA writing control module 10, and transmits the generated document form to the DRPA writing control module 10.
Further, the platform management module 13, after receiving the document form generated by said document form management module 18 through the DRPA writing control module 10, conducts close communications with the platform source storage module 14 under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10 and generates the DRPA input platform in a finished format.
Once the above-described procedures are completed and the DRPA input platform has been generated, the DRPA writing control module 10 immediately transmits the DRPA input platform to the operating system. As a result, as shown in
Figure 4, the display device 3 such as the monitor newly displays the DRPA input platform 206 including the document form 207.
In this situation, the DRPA editing management module 11 conducts close communications with the DRPA editing source storage module 12 under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10 to selectively activate certain editing guide routines continuously and thereby guides the DRPA data recording and editing procedures selectively, which are performed based upon the DRPA input platform. Consequently, the police officer may conveniently record the contents of the DRPA that he or she wishes to write into the document form 207 as if he or she were using the ordinary word processing program.
At the time when the DRPA input platform 206 is displayed, if the police officer clicks writing sample item 208 or encyclopedia item 209, for example, to utilize reference materials (e.g., writing samples or relevant laws and regulations, etc.) in preparing his or her own document, the DRPA writing control module 10 immediately conducts selective control of the reference composition management module 20, the search menu management module 22, and the platform management module 13, etc., and conducts procedures to renew the displayed DRPA input platform 206 as the
"DRPA writing guide platform which may guide the police officer to utilize relevant reference materials."
During these procedures, the reference composition management module 20 conducts close communications with the reference composition source storage module 21 under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10 to selectively extract certain reference compositions stored in the reference composition source storage module 21, for example, "samples required for writing of DRPA," "relevant laws and regulations required for writing of DRPA," etc. and then transmits the extracted reference compositions to the DRPA writing control module 10. Further, the search menu management module 22 conducts close communications with the menu source storage module 23 under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10 to selectively activate search menu generating routines and thereby generates the search menu items requested by the DRPA writing control module 10, and then transmits the generated search menu items to the DRPA writing control module 10.
The platform management module 13, after receiving the search menu items generated by said search menu management module 22 and the reference compositions extracted by said reference composition management module 20 through the DRPA writing control module 10, conducts close communications with the platform source storage module 14 under the control of the DRPA writing control module to divide and configure the search frame (EF) and the view frame (VF), and based thereupon generates the DRPA writing guide platform in a finished format.
Once the above-described procedures are completed and the DRPA writing guide platform has been generated, the DRPA writing control module 10 immediately transmits the DRPA writing guide platform to the operating system 2. As a result, as
shown in Figure 5, the search frame (EF) and the view frame (VF) are formed on the display device 3 such as a monitor and the DRPA writing guide platform including certain search menu items 212 and the reference composition 213 may be newly displayed. When the DRPA guide platform 211 is displayed, if the police officer doubleclicks the reference composition 213 to insert it into the document form he or she has been preparing as shown in Figure 4, the DRPA writing control module 10 immediately controls the information connection module 15 and conducts the procedures to connect and insert the reference composition 213 of Figure 5 into the document form 207 of Figure 4.
During these procedures, the information connection module 15, after receiving, for example, "reference composition data generated by said reference composition management module 20" under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10, conducts close communications with the information connection source storage module 16 to selectively activate information connection routines and, by utilizing such information connection routines, selectively connects and inserts the reference composition data received through the above-described procedures to the document form 207 in the DRPA input platform generated by the platform management module 13. Once the above-described procedures are completed and the DRPA input platform 206 to which the reference composition data were inserted has been generated, the DRPA writing control module immediately transmits the DRPA input platform 206 to the operating system 2. As a result, as shown in Figure 6, the display device 3 may newly display the DRPA input platform 206 which includes the document form 207 in a finished format.
In this manner, the police officer may conveniently prepare the documentation work without having to obtain various materials such as relevant samples and laws or regulations required for writing of reports at each relevant time through various paths (e.g., asking senior officers, look up reference books, etc.). On the other hand, when the DRPA input platform 206 shown in Figure 4 is displayed, if the police officer selects the "similar past case copy" item 210 in order to use similar cases that he or she has handled in the past in writing the DRPA, the DRPA writing control module 10 immediately conducts selective control of the similar information search engine 25, the similar information list management module 26, the platform management module 13, etc., to conduct the procedures to renew the displayed DRPA input platform 207 as the "DRPA writing guide platform which may guide the police officer so that he or she may use similar past cases."
For these procedures, the similar information search engine 25, under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10, searches and extracts specific similar information requested by the DRPA writing control module 10 from the data stored in the DRPA database 31 and, thereafter, transmits the extracted similar information to the
DRPA writing control module 10.
Further, the similar information list management module 26 conducts close communications with the similar information search engine 25 under the control of the DRPA writing control module to generate similar information list related to the specific similar information searched and extracted by the similar information search engine 25 and thereafter transmits the generated similar information list to the DRPA writing control module 10.
The platform management module 10, after receiving the similar information searched and extracted by said similar information search engine 25 and the similar
information list generated by the similar information list management module 26, conducts close communications with the platform source storage module 14 under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10 to divide and configure the search frame and the view frame, and then based thereupon generates the DRPA writing guide platform in a finished format.
Once the above-described procedures are completed and the DRPA writing guide platform has been generated, the DRPA writing control module 10 immediately transmits the DRPA writing guide platform to the operating system 2. As a result, as shown in Figure 7, the search frame (EF) and the view frame (VF) are formed on the display device 3 such as a monitor and the DRPA writing guide platform 214 including the similar information list 215 and the similar information document form 216 may be newly displayed.
When such DRPA guide platform 214 is displayed, if the police officer double-clicks the "copy to the report" item 215a in order to insert the similar information document form 216 to the document form that he or she is currently writing, the DRPA writing control module 10 immediately controls the information connection module 15 and conducts procedures to connect and insert the similar information shown in Figure 7 to the document form the police officer is writing.
For these procedures, the information connection module 15, after receiving, for example, the "similar information searched and extracted by said similar information search engine 25," conducts close communications with the information connection source storage module 16 under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10 to selectively activate information connection routines and, by using such information connection routines, selectively connects and inserts the similar information received through the above-described procedures to the document form in
the generated DRPA input platform.
Once the above-described procedures are completed and the DRPA input platform to which the similar information was inserted has been generated, the DRPA writing control module 10 immediately transmits the DRPA input platform to the operating system 2. As a result, as shown in Figure 8, the display device 3 may newly display the DRPA input platform 216a including the document form 216b to which the similar information was inserted in a finished format.
In this manner, the police officer may conveniently and flexibly utilize his or her previous similar case reports for the writing of a new report. On the other hand, when the initial DRPA guide platform 201 is displayed as shown in Figure 2, if the police officer double-clicks the "my report group" item 202b in order to review overall status of the accumulated documents that he or she has classified, the DRPA writing control module 10 immediately conducts selective control of the accumulated information search engine 27, the search menu management module 22, the platform management module 13, etc. and conducts the procedures to renew the initial DRPA writing guide platform 201 as the "DRPA writing guide platform that may guide the police officer so that he or she may review the entire similar cases that he or she has handled and classified."
For these procedures, the accumulated information search engine 27, under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10, selectively searches and extracts specific accumulated information requested by the DRPA writing control module 10 from the data stored in the DRPA database 31 and thereafter transmits the extracted specific accumulated information to the DRPA writing control module 10.
Further, the search menu management module 22 conducts close communications with the menu source storage module 23 under the control of the
DRPA writing control module 10 to selectively activate search menu generating routines and thereby generates search menu items requested by the DRPA writing control module 10. Then, the search menu management module 22 transmits the generated search menu items to the DRPA writing control module 10. The platform management module 13, after receiving the search menu generated by said search menu management module 22 and the accumulated information searched and extracted by the accumulated information search engine 27 through the DRP writing control module 10, conducts close communications with the platform source storage module 14 under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10 to divide and configure the search frame and the view frame and based thereupon generates the DRPA writing guide platform in a finished format.
Once the above-described procedures are completed and the DRPA writing guide platform has been generated, the DRPA writing control module 10 immediately transmits the DRPA writing guide platform to the operating system 2. As a result, as shown in Figure 9, the search frame (EF) and the view frame (VF) are formed on the display device 3 such as a monitor and the DRPA writing guide platform 217 including certain search menu items 218 and the accumulated information document form 219 may be newly displayed. The search menu items 218 displayed on the DRPA writing guide platform 217 are the menu items that have been named and created by the police officer.
When such DRPA writing guide platform is displayed, if the police officer determines to write a document that is identical with the accumulated information document form 219 displayed on the view frame (VF) and, for example, double-clicks the search menu 218, the DRPA writing control module 10 immediately conducts selective control of the document form management module 18 and the platform
management module 13 to conduct procedures to renew the displayed DRPA writing guide platform 217 as the DRPA input platform.
For these procedures, the document form management module 18 conducts close communications with the document form generating source module 19 under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10 to selectively activate relevant document form generating routines and thereby generates the specific document form requested by the DRPA writing control module 10, and then transmits the generated document form to the DRPA writing control module 10.
The platform management module 13, after receiving the document form generated by said document form management module 19 through the DRPA writing control module 10, conducts close communications with the platform source storage module 13 under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10 to generate the
DRPA input platform in a finished format.
Once the above-described procedures are completed and the DRPA input platform has been generated, the DRPA writing control module 10 immediately transmits the DRPA input platform to the operating system 2. As a result, as shown in
Figure 10, the display device 3 such as a monitor may newly display the DRPA input platform 222 which includes the document form 223.
Further, in this situation also, the DRPA editing management module 11 conducts close communications with the DRPA editing source storage module 12 under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10 to continuously activate relevant editing guide routines and thereby conducts procedures to selectively guide the DRPA data recording and editing proceeded based upon the DRPA input platform 222. Consequently, the police officer may record the DRPA contents that he or she wishes to record easily in the document form 223 as if he or she were using a general word
processing program.
Generally, DRPAs are related one another as the "application for warrant of arrest" and the "arrest of criminal caught in the very act" are related. Given this, if the police officer selects the "continuous writing" item 220 in the DRPA writing guide platform 217 shown in Figure 9 in order to write documents related to the document that the police officer has been preparing, the DRPA writing control module 10 conducts the procedures to output the "guide menu for guiding the police officer's continuous documentation work" by using the platform management module 13.
For these procedures, the platform management module 13 conducts close communications with the platform source storage module 14 under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10 and generates relevant continuous writing guide menu.
Once the above-described procedures are completed and the continuous writing guide menu has been generated, the DRPA writing control module 10 immediately transmits said continuous writing guide menu to the operating system 2.
As a result, as illustrated in Figure 11, the continuous writing guide menu 225 is newly displayed on the display device 110 such as a monitor.
At this state, if the police officer decides to continue to write other documents related to the document he or she has been writing and thus selects item 224, the DRPA writing control module 10 immediately conducts selective control of the document form management module 18 and the platform management module 13, etc. to conduct procedures to renew the displayed DRPA input platform as a new DRPA input platform.
For these procedures, the document form management module 18 conducts close communications with the document form generating source storage module 19
under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10 to selectively activate relevant document form generating routines and thereby generates a related document form requested by the DRPA writing control module 10. Then, the document form management module 18 transmits the generated related document form to the DRPA writing control module 10.
Further, the platform management module 13, after receiving the generated related document form through said document form management module 18, conducts close communications with the platform source storage module 14 under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10 to generate a DRPA input platform in a finished format.
Upon the completion of the above-described procedures and when the DRPA input platform has been generated, the DRPA writing control module 10 immediately transmits said DRPA input platform to the operating system 2. As a result, as illustrated in Figure 12, the DRPA input platform 226 including the related document form 227 is newly displayed on the display device 3 such as a monitor.
Of course, in this state also, the DRPA editing management module 11 closely communicates with the DRPA editing source storage module 12 under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10 to continuously activate the relevant editing guide routines and thereby conducts procedures to selectively guide DRPA data recording and editing which are performed on the DRPA input platform 226. Accordingly, the police officer may easily record the desired contents of the DRPA in the document form 227 as if he or she were using an ordinary word processing program.
On the other hand, the related documents that are written successively through the above-described procedures may naturally need to be printed successively.
In this situation, in order to have such related successive documents printed continuously, if the police officer selects the continuous print item 221 of the DRPA writing guide platform 217 as illustrated in Figure 9, the DRPA writing control module 10 conducts the procedures to output "the guide menu for guiding the police officer's successive printing work" by utilizing the platform management module 13.
During these procedures, the platform management module 13 conducts close communications with the platform source storage module 14 under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10 and thereby generates the relevant successive print guide menu. Once the above-described procedures are completed and the successive print guide menu has been generated, the DRPA writing control module 10 immediately transmits said successive print guide menu to the operating system 2. As a result, as shown in Figure 3, the successive print guide menu 228 is newly displayed on the display device 3 such as a monitor. At this state, if the police officer selects the print item 229 in order to print the related documents successively, the DRPA writing control module 10 immediately controls the printing management module 33 to conduct the procedures for successive printing of the written related documents.
During these procedures, the printing management module 33, after receiving data that need to be printed from the DRPA writing control module 10, generates printing request messages under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10 and conducts the procedures to transmit the generated printing request messages to the operating system 2. As a result, upon the completion of these printing procedures, the police officer may easily obtain the printed-out related documents that he or she has written through the printer 5 connected to the operating system 2.
On the other hand, when the initial DRPA guide platform 201 is displayed as illustrated in Figure 2, if the police officer selects the "statistics (not shown in the drawing)" item in the service function menu 202c in order to review the statistics of the accumulated documents that he or she has written, the DRPA writing confrol module 10 immediately conducts selective control of the statistics execution engine 29, the search menu management module 22 and the platform management module 13, etc. and thereby conducts procedures to renew the displayed initial DRPA writing guide platform 201 as the "DRPA writing guide platform that may guide the police officer's overall review of the statistics on the accumulated cases that he or she has handled." During these procedures, the statistics execution engine 29, under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10, selectively searches and extracts certain specific DRPA statistics information requested by the DRPA writing control module 10 from the data that have been stored in the DRPA statistics database 32 and thereafter transmits the extracted specific DRPA statistics information to the DRPA writing control module.
Further, the search menu management module 22 conducts close communications with the menu source storage module 23 under the confrol of the DRPA writing control module 10 to selectively activate the relevant search menu generating routines and thereby generates the search menu items requested by the DRPA writing control module 10. Then, the search menu management module 22 transmits the generated search menu items to the DRPA writing control module 10.
Further, the platform management module 13, after receiving the search menu generated by said search menu management module 22 and the statistics information searched and extracted by said statistics execution engine 29, through the DRPA writing control module 10, conducts close communications with the platform source
storage module 14 under the confrol of the DRPA writing control module 10 to conduct procedures to generate a DRPA statistics platform in a finished format.
Once the above-described procedures are completed and the DRPA statistics platform has been generated, the DRPA writing control module 10 immediately transmits said DRPA statistics platform to the operating system 2. As a result, as shown in Figure 14, the DRPA statistics platform 230 including the menu items, the statistics graphic elements 231 and the statistics text elements 232 may be displayed on the display device 3 such as a monitor. Accordingly, the police officer may utilize such statistics data flexibly for his or her work. Of course, in this case, the police officer can easily avoid "inconveniences caused by the need for writing separate documents for statistics in addition to the ordinary reports," "inconveniences caused by inability to conveniently utilize other statistics data which have been already reported to senior officers," and etc.
On the other hand, in the state where the initial DRPA guide platform 201 is displayed as shown in Figure 2, if the police officer selects, for example, the "view summary" item (not shown in the drawing) of the service function menu 202c in order to review the overall status of his or her accumulated documents, the DRPA writing control module 10 immediately conducts selective control of the accumulated information search engine 27, the search menu management module 22 and the platform management module 13, etc. to conduct procedures to renew the displayed initial DRPA writing guide platform 201 as the "DRPA summary guide platform that may guide the police officer's overall review of his or her previous similar cases."
During these procedures, the accumulated information search engine 27, under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10, selectively searches and extracts specific accumulated information requested by the DRPA writing control
module 10 from the data stored in the DRPA database 31 and transmits the extracted specific accumulated information to the DRPA writing control module 10.
Further, the search menu management module 22 conducts close communications with the menu source storage module 23 under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10 to selectively activate the relevant search menu generating routines and thereby generates the search menu items requested by the
DRPA writing control module 10. Then, the search menu management module 22 transmits the generated search menu items to the DRPA writing control module 10.
Additionally, the platform management module 13, after receiving the search menu generated by said search menu management module 22 and the accumulated information searched and extracted by the accumulated information search engine 27 through the DRPA writing control module 10, conducts close communications with the platform source storage module 14 under the control of the DRPA writing control module 10 to conduct procedures to generate a DRPA writing guide platform in a finished format.
Once the above-described procedures are completed and the DRPA writing guide platform has been generated, the DRPA writing confrol module 10 immediately transmits said DRPA writing guide platform to the operating system 2. As a result, as shown in Figure 15, the DRPA summary guide platform 233 including the relevant search menu items and the summary information document form 234 may be displayed on the display device 3 such as a monitor and accordingly the police officer may systematically manage his or her DRPAs without any separate procedures.
The foregoing embodiments of the present invention are merely exemplary and are not to be construed as limiting the present invention. Many alternatives, modifications and variations will be apparent to those skilled in the art.
INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY
As explained above, the present invention establishes efficient computing environment by systematically combining individual features of database management programs and word processing programs to a part of an information processing device for the appropriate DRPA writing works (e.g., provides an interface platform of the ordinary word processing program with which police officers are familiar and provides module environment which may expeditiously accept and process DRPA data inputted through said interface platform of the word method, and stores the inputted DRPA data in the appropriate data format, and provides module environment for systematic post management of the database data) and enables police officers to selectively perform reference data utilization guide process, individual writing data utilization guide process, DRPA statistics data utilization guide process, etc. through simple computing works based upon the established computing environment, and thus induces police officers with simple knowledge required to use word processing programs to conveniently write and manage DRPAs without receiving any special training. Further, the present invention provides efficient computing environment by systematically combining individual features of database management programs and word processing programs to a part of an information processing device for the appropriate DRPA writing works in order to maximize police officers' DRPA processing efficiency and minimize the time required for handling the police works, thus preventing the waste of police resources.
