Abstract

Method introduced in granite or marble reinforced by rigid substratum (2) and alike, is intended to provide a practical and innovative model of reinforced granite or marble plate (1), belonging to the field of civil construction materials, more specifically used as a finishing for thinner stone pieces, in which an original constructive method was developed regarding the improvement of its use and performance, as well as a significant cost reduction compared to other models currently available in the market, since this innovation is constituted of a plate (1), preferably made of granite or marble, with thickness between 30 mm and 1 mm, attached to a substratum (2), preferably made of stone, ceramic, or another low-cost material, by means of a high-adherence adhesive (3).

Description

"METHOD INTRODUCED IN GRANITE OR MARBLE REINFORCED BY RIGID SUBSTRATUM AND ALIKE", is intended to provide a practical and innovative model of reinforced granite or marble plate, belonging to the field of civil construction materials, more specifically used as a finishing for thinner stone pieces, in which an original constructive method was developed regarding the improvement of its use and performance, as well as a significant cost reduction compared to other models currently available in the market.
Hence, this patent claim comprises a finishing piece made of reinforced granite or marble to enable the manufacturing of reinforced granite or reinforced marble panels with lower costs and developed to obtain enhanced practicality and great advantages in its use, costs, and manufacture.
Therefore, the model was develop based on perfection and efficiency, in order to offer a reinforced paneling with a low-cost substratum, so as to enable the cutting of marbles or granites with low costs for their industrial manufacture, but also allied to requirements such as robustness, safety, and utilitarian practicality, thus providing the consumers with an additional option in this market that, opposite to other models, offers endless possibilities and benefits to its users, lowering costs significantly and becoming a very well accepted model in the consumer market.
As it is popularly known, the decoration of several environments, whatever indoors or outdoors, carried out with stones, granites, or marbles with different natures is an option commonly used by most real estate owners and civil construction professionals that require a high quality finishing.
Obviously, in the current state of the art, and in order to have such a decoration carried out, many inconveniences arise in the stone, granite, or marble, among which the most outstanding inconvenience is the cost of materials, since the cutting process does not accomplish an optimized use of the stone, granite, or marble. In the current processes, granite or marble blocks are sliced in a thickness between 30 mm and 10 mm, since a slenderer thickness poses a risk of breaking the stone while cutting.
Therefore, with the development occurred in the last few decades, and thinking of these inconveniences after several researches and studies, the inventors related to this industry created and developed the object of this patent, aiming at a reinforcement applied to the granite or marble, which consists of the attachment of a substratum with lower commercial value onto both faces of a granite or marble plate, in order to prevent it from breaking while cutting it in half, reducing thereby its costs and providing an increased use.
Hence, this method shows that not only mechanical and functional qualities were considered in its manufacturing project, but also the shape, design and location of its component parts, which, when correctly placed, have brought an efficiency increase with no additional onuses. For this reason, this patent was designed to obtain a possible [SIC], conveniently configured and positioned, so as to enable the reinforced granite or marble to perform its functions with unseen versatility and efficiency, and free of the previously mentioned inconveniences.
The patent claim herein presents a practical and innovative model of reinforced granite or marble with all esthetic and functional qualities, and developed according to the utmost techniques, thus enabling it to be used in several purposes, from the use with a substratum based on other stones of lower commercial values, to its use with a substratum on ceramics or another low-cost material.
The embodiment of the reinforced paneling presented herein comprises, in its new constructive method, a granite or marble plate (1) with thickness between 30 mm and 1 mm attached to a substratum (2), preferably made of stone, ceramic, or another low-cost material, by means of high-adherence adhesive.
It can then be observed that the reinforcement provides the cutting operator with favorable conditions to cut and polish easily the reinforced granite or marble, since the reinforcement provides higher resistance to traction of bending forces on the pieces during mechanical operations.
Furthermore, this constructive method may be extended to replace marble or granite parts that are difficult to find in the market in the case of maintenance needs, that is, the granite professional can remove very carefully a plate of "twin" granite from the same block as that of the damaged piece to be replaced and, according to this method, slice it in two parts, then polish both parts to be replaced, the "twin" part and the part to be replaced, enabling the maintenance with a material from the same origin and same characteristics of tones, distribution, and pattern of grains or grooves of minerals that compose the pieces.
It is thereby comprehensible that the paneling described herein has an extremely simple construction and is easily manufactured. Notwithstanding, excellent practical and functional results are obtained, offering an innovative construction compared to the current models.
Conceived with an innovative design, it provides a harmonic construction aspect, and the model outstands for its versatility and ease of use.
In order to provide a better understanding of the "METHOD INTRODUCED IN GRANITE OR MARBLE REINFORCED BY RIGID SUBSTRATUM AND ALIKE" claimed hereby, the following drawing attached is presented, in which:
FIG. 1 - Shows an isometric cross-section view of the reinforced paneling presented herein.
According to the illustration mentioned above, the "METHOD INTRODUCED IN GRANITE OR MARBLE REINFORCED BY RIGID SUBSTRATUM AND ALIKE" presented herein is essentially characterized for comprising a plate (1) made of granite or marble with thickness between 30 mm and 1 mm, attached to a substratum (2), preferably made of stone, ceramic, or another low-cost material, by means of a high-adherence adhesive (3).
Through the description above, it is possible to state that the "METHOD INTRODUCED IN GRANITE OR MARBLE REINFORCED BY RIGID SUBSTRATUM AND ALIKE" described herein is a very useful accessory that, as we could demonstrate through the analysis and through the figure shown herein, presents uncountable differences from the current conventional models available in the consumer market, as well as technical constructive and functional characteristics that are completely different from all others in this art.
Due to the advantages it offers and all of the truly innovative characteristics that meet all requirements of novelty and originality in this art, this "METHOD INTRODUCED IN GRANITE OR MARBLE REINFORCED BY RIGID SUBSTRATUM AND ALIKE" gathers the conditions required to deserve the Privilege of Utility Model.
Although this claim was written with references to the modality intended above, it will be clear to technicians in this art that further changes in the embodiment and in the process details can be carried out herein, which do not modify its scope and idea, as defined in the attached claim.
