Description

DESCRIPTION DESCRIPTION
The present invention relates to a bicycle wheel.
La jante étant conçue pour accueillir un pneu tubulaire (ou boyau) , un pneu tubeless, ou un pneu et sa chambre à air .In a known manner, a front or rear bicycle wheel comprises a rim, a central hub, as well as a connection between the rim and the hub which can be produced by plies of spokes, sticks or else a full carcass (lenticular wheel) . The rim being designed to accommodate a tubular tire (or tubular), a tubeless tire, or a tire and its inner tube.
An object of the invention is to provide a wheel no longer requiring the mounting of a tire, but simply the fitting of a tread mounted tight or glued directly to the rim; this makes it possible to solve the problem of punctures, but also to improve the interchangeability of the treads in order to use different types of rubber depending on the practice and the terrain encountered.
Another object of the invention is to improve the recovery qualities of a bicycle by reducing the diameter of contact with the road with respect to a wheel, fitted with conventional tires, having the same bearing pad diameter. The wheel thus being lightened in its part farthest from - the axis of rotation, which reduces its inertia. On the other hand the carcass of this rim and its tread has a rigidity greater than a conventional mounting on a tire, this will improve the efficiency of the wheel.
It is understood that the invention remains valid for any type of attachment of the rim to the hub. However, it is presented in a connection configuration by nuts and spokes. The characteristic of this invention is to have arranged the two plies of radius symmetrically with respect to the median plane of the rim so the spokes are directly opposite two by two and allow to improve the balance of tensions in these spokes, but also to facilitate the unveiling of the rim.
The invention will be detailed in the following description and illustrated by the accompanying drawings. FIG. 1 represents an axonometric view of the complete wheel in a first mode of attachment of the spokes.
Figure 3 shows a cross section of the rim, the tread, the nuts and spokes in the first attachment mode.
La figure n°4 représente la jante de la figure n°3 et son moyeu .Figure 4 shows the rim of Figure 3 and its hub.
La figure n°5 représente une vue axonométrique de la roue complète dans un deuxième mode d'accrochage des rayons.FIG. 5 represents an axonometric view of the complete wheel in a second mode of attachment of the spokes.
Figure 6 shows a partial section of Figure 5 in an axonometric view.
Figure 7 shows a cross section of the rim, the tread, a shutter, the nuts and spokes in the second attachment mode.
The wheel shown in Figures 1, 2, 3, 4 has a rim (1), its tread (2), a central hub (7) connected to the rim by two plies of spokes (5), ( 6) and their nuts (3), (4). Figure 3 shows a section of the rim according to a first mode of attachment of the spokes.
The rim section is fully closed and does not allow the fitting of the fixing nuts (3), (4) of the spokes (5), (6), which explains the presence of bridges composed of two connecting walls (14), (15) and a hooking surface (16) pierced with two holes
This fixing between the rim and the hub by two plies of spokes symmetrical with respect to the median plane of the wheel and attachment by bridges can obviously be applied to any type of rim and hub. The wheel shown in Figures 5, 6, 7 has a rim (20), its tread (2), a central hub (7), connected to the rim by two plies of spokes (24), (25 ) and their nuts (22), (23).
Figure 7 shows a section of the rim according to a second method of hooking the spokes.
The rim is formed by two side walls (32), (33) serving as a bearing area for the brake pads and connecting the upper bridge (34) to the lower bridge (28). The upper bridge (34) serves as a support for the tread (2) which is positioned by the two shoulders (30), (31), moreover it is pierced with holes (29) which serve as passage for the nuts (22 ), (23). Once the nuts are in place, shutters (21) are fitted in order to reconstitute the upper curve of the rim (20). The lower bridge (28) is, in this version, pierced with holes (26), (27) which serve as housing for the nuts (22), (23). The attachment between the rim and the hub is presented in a version with two plies of spokes arranged symmetrically with respect to the median plane of the wheel, but it is obvious that the invention remains valid regardless of the inclination of the umbrellas of the two plies of rays.
In addition, the shape of the rim profile is not limiting, the upper bridge may have a curvature other than an arc of a circle and the lower bridge may not be materialized in the case, for example, of a rim with triangular profile. Finally, the invention applies to all types of front or rear wheel associated with all braking systems, pads, discs, drums or the like.
