Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de gestion de la procédure de connexion à des réseaux de communication informatiques tels qu'Internet. Ce procédé est fondé sur l'exécution d'un programme informatique qui est installé sur l'appareil utilisateur à connecter et qui permet à l'utilisateur de choisir, avec l'aide d'une interface graphique, entre composer le numéro de téléphone d'un point d'accès spécifique au réseau, et définir une zone géographique particulière et ainsi lancer une procédure de composition automatique des numéros de téléphone des points d'accès réseau d'un fournisseur d'accès Internet (ISP) donné, situé en relation avec cette zone, ou du numéro de téléphone d'un point d'accès virtuel associé à ce ISP. L'utilisateur peut accéder directement à des pages et services Internet spécifiques au moyen de noms de liens affichés sur l'interface graphique utilisée pour la connexion. Le procédé selon l'invention permet de gérer ladite procédure de connexion, par mise à jour automatique, lors de la connexion, de la configuration graphique de l'interface, des fonctions associées, des noms de liens ainsi que des pages et services Internet y afférents.
