Abstract

This refillable powder box relates to the cosmetic make-up item/kit that incorporates two compartments. The other one that is designed to be bigger and has its own lid contains the powder and the other one is for a small broad custom-made face brush. The powder compartment lid when opened and placed horizontally flat on the other side, forms a platform to shake off excess It also has a sponge to place on top of the brush alter use and its purpose is to keep the box neatly free of powder and also to hold the brush steady in its place. The mirror is fitted onto the inside of the box lid. These boxes are made of common hard cosmetic packaging material. It can hold approximately 30g of powder.

Description

1. TITLE OF THE INVENTION (PATENT):
RefiUable Cosmetic Loose Powder Container (RCLPC)
2. CROSS-REFERENCES TO RELATED APPLICATIONS:
Presently there are no applications that are related to this patent application.
3. BACKGROUND OF THE PATENT:
Most women and even some men especially when they are in front of cameras wear make-up. One of the mostly used cosmetic is the complexion powder. The reason it is used is because it gives that fresh, mat and natural good look especially during those hot days.
There are two other types of face powder containers that are available in the market. One is for loose powder and the other one is for pressed powder. The loose powder is usually used for the initial make-up process and the pressed powder for just touch-up to restore/maintain the make-up in a good condition as long as it's still worn.
The purpose of this patent is to consolidate the two in one, refill and re-use the container as long as it still usable and good.
This patent comes in different shapes and sizes according to personal preference, either the bigger box or the smaller box.
The patent solves the following problems: The mess, inconvenience and waste of powder caused inefficiency of available loose powder box. The hygienic aspect in the sense that it is not necessary to use the pressed powder with the applying sponge which needs to be washed after every use to keep ones face free of germs.
> The applying brush (not applying sponge) is kept inside the box and makes it very convenient and hygienic.
> The blending of colors is made easier with refills. The long term objective of being economic to buy only the refill.
> Waste is reduced
THE EVENT THAT TRICKERED THE IDEA:
One Saturday afternoon a friend who now lives in America invited us (friends and colleagues) to her house for a fun but very informative make-up cession. When it was time to powder our faces I realized that there was a lot of mess and waste of powder. It bothered me and never left my mind and I knew I have to do something about it. 4. SUMMARY OF THE PATENT:
This patent is a refiUable cosmetic powder box, which also has a compartment to store the applying cosmetic brush to make a perfect complete set. It comes in different shapes and sizes. The first and common shape is the rectangular shape, then round and the oval shape.
The two different sizes but only on the rectangular shape and other two shapes will only be in a smaller size.
There are three types of materials that can be used the common hard plastic, wood and metal, but the most common will be the ordinary hard plastic that is used for cosmetic packages.
It also has a mirror attached onto the inner side of the box lid. The lid of the box and that of the powder compartment are designed in such a way that it's easy to open like most cosmetic containers.
The powder compartment lid when opened it rests in the two small flat projections on the sides of the brush compartment to support the lid when forming a working platform.
5. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING:
THE RECTANGULAR SHAPE BOX a - Opened container revealing the mirror, brush and closed powder compartment b - Opened powder compartment lid with short side walls necessary to hold the powder within the platform when shaking off excess c - Dotted lines showing how the compartment separating piece is slanted to create a bigger space for the powder d - Platform support projections on opposite sides of the narrow sides e - Powder compartment lid side wall lined with thin material (sponge-like), necessary for tight fit when closed and forming a platform f - Custom-made face brush g - The sponge is necessary to cover the brush in order to keep the box and mirror free off the powder and the brush steady h - Glass mirror embedded flat onto the inner side of the box lid 6. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERED EMBODIMENT:
Producing the box:
Material: Using the common hard plastic cosmetic package material, the machinery and skill required to produce the box is the same as what we already have in the industry. The box is very simple and not costly to produce. The rectangular 80mm long x 70mm wide x 35mm high container can be produced as shown in the drawings. The middle piece of the separating the compartments is slanted at the bottom to increase the space for the powder but where it connects to the lid should be right at the center. This is very important because the powder compartment lid should be able to close tightly and also fit tightly when forming the "shake excess" platform.
Using the box: This container filled with powder and brush in place will go a long way in terms of giving the user complete satisfaction when wearing their make-up and touching-up when the face goes greasy.
* The main lid is opened revealing the brush covering sponge, mirror and the brush. The brush is in the compartment. The other compartment containing the powder is closed. Remove sponge and brush and open the other compartment with powder pulling down the lid and rest it on the projection on the side of the other compartment to create a platform used to shake off excess from the brush.
