Abstract

The invention relates to a method for the production of homogeneous pellets of chitosan or a chitosan derivative, comprising the following steps: comminution of the chitosan or chitosan derivative to give a particle size < 250 µm, addition of a diluted aqueous acid to the powder, extrusion of the damp powder to a strand diameter of < 2 mm and spheronisation of the extrusion.
