Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a covering element according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Covering elements are used to accommodate passenger loads and vehicle loads on structures. Structures such as bridges or footbridges are used. With regard to the suitability for use, proof of the short-term load capacity under certain distributed loads must be provided.

  • the conventionally used covering elements which mainly consist of wood, metal or concrete, have disadvantages in terms of weight and / or service life.
  • Normal wood on the other hand, has a much shorter lifespan and must be replaced every 5 to 10 years. Elements constructed in this way must also be made non-slip here.
  • Metal is often used as the material for the covering elements, especially for smaller dimensions and loads, such as for personal bridges.

  • Such an element thus achieves a very long service life, which advantageously reduces the maintenance and maintenance costs of structures equipped with such covering elements.
  • Covering elements of this type are advantageously suitable for use as bridge coverings for pedestrians and two-wheelers, and can also be easily installed thanks to the low weight. Abstract
