Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein neues Verfahren zur Herstellung eines attenuierten Influenza-Virus das homolog zum epidemischen Wild-Typ Stamm ist, als Impfstoff gegen das Influenza-Virus. Durch die Modifikation eines Influenza-Oberflächenproteins verliert das Virus seine Pathogenität, nicht aber seine Immunogenität und ist als Lebend-Impfstoff bei der Immunisierung von Individuen insbesondere Kinder, ältere Menschen und immundefiziente Personen verwendbar.
