Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung und ein Verfahren zum Verwalten mindestens eines Datenobjektes eines elektrografischen Druckers oder Kopierers. Mindestens die Daten (V1=12) eines Datenobjektes sind in einer Datenbank (12) gespeichert. Dem Datenobjekt ist eine Kennung (V1) zugeordnet. Es wird mindestens ein erster Quelltext (14) erstellt, der die Kennung (V1) des Datenobjektes enthält. Aus dem ersten Quelltext (14) wird ein zweiter Quelltext (22) erzeugt, wobei zumindest die Kennung (V1) des Datenobjektes zumindest durch einen Teil der in der Datenbank (12) zu diesem Datenobjekt (V1) gespeicherten Daten ersetzt wird.
