Abstract

L'invention concerne un système d'enregistrement et de lecture optique susceptible d'être utilisé avec un support de données optique (5). Dans ce système, le support (5) comporte une pile d'enregistrement (9) et une pile de couverture (7) transparente à un faisceau de rayonnement ciblé (1) de longueur d'onde μ dans l'air. La pile de couverture (7) a une épaisseur dT. La pile d'enregistrement (9) et la pile de couverture (7) sont établies séquentiellement sur un substrat (8). Une tête optique (3) comporte un objectif (2) à ouverture numérique NA, depuis lequel le faisceau de rayonnement ciblé (1) est diffusé durant l'enregistrement. Ladite tête permet l'enregistrement/la lecture à une distance de travail libre dF inférieure à 50 νm par rapport à la surface la plus éloignée du support (5). Elle est placée du côté de la pile de couverture (7) du support (5). Lorsque DT est inférieure à 50μ, on assure un enregistrement et une lecture fiables, en particulier grâce à l'absence de problèmes de servomécanisme de focalisation.
