Abstract

L'invention se rapporte aux équipements médicaux et notamment aux prothèses pour membres inférieurs. Elle concerne une articulation rotulienne polycentrique qui comprend une plaque supérieure destinée à la fixation d'une gaine fémorale, un support inférieur de fixation du tibia, reliés entre eux par un maillon avant et un maillon arrière au moyen de quatre paires cinématiques rotatives. La distance entre les axes des paires cinématiques rotatives de maillons au niveau de la plaque supérieure destinée à la fixation de la gaine fémorale est supérieure à la distance entre les axes des paires cinématiques rotatives sur le support inférieur de fixation du tube du tibia. L'articulation rotulienne polycentrique permet notamment d'améliorer les caractéristiques ergonomiques de la prothèse et d'assurer une plus grande stabilité lors de la marche grâce à l'utilisation d'une articulation dont la trajectoire du mouvement de ses centres de rotation instantanés est capable de se rapprocher au maximum du motif de la marche normale, et grâce à un nombre moins élevé de mouvements de compensation, ce qui rapproche également le motif de la marche de la norme qui correspond à la démarche d'une personne en bonne santé. En outre, la stabilité lors de la marche se voit davantage accrue grâce à une plus grande distance entrer le pied de la prothèse et le support à chaque portée de la prothèse.
