Description

CATÉTER DE INSEMINACIÓN INTRAUTERINA. OBJETO DE LA INVENCIÓN. INTRAUTERINE INSEMINATION CATHETER. OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The following invention, as expressed in the statement herein, refers to an intrauterine insemination catheter, being of preferred utility for intrauterine insemination of the swine species, so that the catheter is defined by a unit element constituted by an elongated tubular body provided at one of its ends, specifically the end to be introduced into the animal's reproductive apparatus, of a rounded surface body provided with a hole as an extension of the axial hole of the tubular body.
The catheter described has as its main novelty the fact of being an intrauterine insemination catheter defined by a unitary element through which access to the body and / or uterine horns is achieved, in order to perform the deposition of the insemination dose in said place.
In addition, using the described catheter, the handling of intrauterine insemination in the swine species is simplified, since, with a single act, the place of deposition of the insemination dose is achieved, which in turn leads to savings in the time dedicated to such activity.
The present catheter for intrauterine insemination is of application for the artificial insemination of very different animal species, and, thus, it is applicable for the insemination of the sheep, vaccine, equine, etc., being of special application for the swine species.
OF THE INVENTION Based on the conventional technique of artificial insemination in the swine species, we can indicate that it consists in the introduction into the first portion of the uterine cervix of a sperm number equal to or greater than 3000 million in an insemination volume of at least 50 me.
The use of a lower number of sperm causes a decrease in fertility unless the deposition is perform in a more advanced place within the genital tract.
Until now, to make deposition in a more advanced place of the genital tract, it is only possible through anesthesia of the animal and complicated surgical techniques, being this as a result of which, in the sows, intrauterine insemination is difficult due to the presence of a cervix relatively long and with cartilaginous folds.
On the other hand, the intrauterine insemination systems of the swine species that exist on the market are characterized by two components: a guide catheter and a flexible or semi-rigid probe.
The guide catheter, in a generic way, is defined by a tubular body provided at one of its ends, which is introduced into the genital apparatus of the animal, a body of generally conical or cylindrical shape and provided with an axial hole as an extension of the axial orifice of the tubular body, whose guide catheter has the mission of finding the external cervical orifice, introducing it and fixing it in the caudal portion of the cervix.
DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA INVENCIÓN.On the other hand, the different models of flexible or semi-rigid probes are introduced through the internal hole of the guide catheter so that they come out of the cervix in its intermediate portion, from there, and by the force of propulsion that is exerted from the outside, being able to travel the rest of said structure until reaching the body and / or uterine horns. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
An intrauterine insemination catheter is described herein, being of preferred utility for the intrauterine insemination of the swine species, so that the intrauterine insemination catheter is defined by a unitary element constituted by an elongated tubular body provided with one of its ends, in particular the end to be introduced into the animal's reproductive apparatus, of a rounded surface body provided with a hole as an extension of the axial hole of the tubular body. The intrauterine insemination catheter exhibits stiffness suitable for access, through the end provided with the body of rounded surface, to the body and / or uterine horns, in order to perform the deposition of the insemination dose in said place. In this way, we obtain an intrauterine insemination catheter constituted by a single component, which entails advantages of an economic type, since, the materials of which it consists, logically, are cheaper than those related to a corresponding guide catheter and probe, conventional, and, in addition, its manufacturing is also simpler, impacting on its cost of production, and, consequently, on its final price.
Likewise, when the intrauterine insemination catheter is constituted by a single component, the handling entailed by intrauterine insemination in the swine species is simplified, since, with a single act, the place of deposition of the insemination dose is achieved, which It in turn leads to savings in the time spent on such activity.
To complement the description that is going to be carried out below, and in order to help a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, this descriptive report is accompanied by a set of drawings, whose figures are illustrative and not limiting , the most characteristic details of the invention are represented.
BREVE DESCRIPCIÓN DE LOS DISEÑOS. Figura 1. Figure 1. It shows an elevation view of an intrauterine insemination catheter, being able to observe how it is defined by a tubular body topped by one of its ends by a spherically shaped body.
Figura 2. Figure 2. Shows a detail view of the generally spherical body in which the tubular body conforming to the intrauterine insemination catheter, object of the invention, is finished off.
Figura 3. Figure 3. It shows a detailed view of a practical execution variant in which the body, with a rounded surface, in which the tubular body conforming to the intrauterine insemination catheter is finished, has an oval shape. DESCRIPTION OF A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT. In view of the aforementioned figures and according to the numbering adopted we can see how the intrauterine insemination catheter 1 is defined by a unitary element constituted by elongated tubular body 2 provided at one of its ends, in particular the end to be introduced into the animal reproductive apparatus, of a body 3 of rounded surface provided with a hole 4 as an extension of the axial hole 5 of the tubular body 2. Thus, the body 3 of rounded surface can be defined in different ways, and, thus, can be defined by a body generally spherical, oval or any other similar shape that has a rounded surface that facilitates its introduction into the animal's reproductive system. On the other hand, the intrauterine insemination catheter 1 has adequate rigidity to access, through the end provided with the body 3 with a rounded surface, to the body and / or uterine horns, in order to materialize the deposition of the insemination dose in said place. Thus, the intrauterine insemination catheter 1 constituted by a single component, entails economic advantages, since the materials of which it consists, logically, are more economical, and, in addition, its manufacture is also simpler, impacting on its cost of production, and, consequently, in its final price. Likewise, the intrauterine insemination catheter 1 has the added advantage that since it is constituted by a single component, its handling is simplified in the operation of intrauterine insemination in the swine species, since, with a single act, it is possible to reach the place of Deposition of the insemination dose, which in turn leads to savings in the time spent on such activity.
Intrauterine insemination catheter 1 is useful for the practice of intrauterine insemination in various animal species, and thus, although it is of special application for the swine species, it is also applicable in the ovine, equine, vaccine and other species.
