On munit l'application (2) d'une boîte à outils cryptographiques à architecture modulaire (10) comportant un module (14) de manipulation de formats de données utilisés dans l'accomplissement de fonctions cryptographiques, un module (12) d'accès à des ressources cryptographiques, et un module fonctionnel (11) supervisant les modules de manipulation des formats de données, d'exécution d'algorithmes et d'accès aux ressources cryptographique, et présentant une interface fonctionnelle (17) avec le reste de l'application (16).
