Abstract

The present invention comprises a manoeuvring seat arrangement (30), relating to a crane arrangement, comprising a seat (31) intended for an operator with a back support (32) that is attached to it; a control lever or a number of control levers (40, 41) that are readily accessible for the operator's hand or hands, in order through these to be able to influence one or several valve units that are components of a hydraulic system for the influence of and the control of one or several piston-cylinder arrangements that are components of the said crane arrangement, in order, among other operations, to manoeuvre arms related to the crane arrangement; and a protecting rail (33) that partially surrounds the operator. The said seat (31) and the said back support (32) are partially surrounded by a first tube structure (35) divided into a number of sections where the said protecting rail (33) is constituted by an upper section (35c) of tube, with the shape of a 'U', with legs (35b, 35c) that diverge from the back support (32) and past the seat (31) with the free end sections (35b', 35c') of the legs each interacting with a short, downwardly pointing section (35d, 35e) of tube and that these sections are located outside of and in the vicinity of the said control lever or levers (40, 41).

Description

A MANOEUVRING SEAT RELATED TO A CRANE ARRANGEMENT
Technical Area or Field of the Invention
The present invention relates in general to a manoeuvring seat arrange- ment, relating to a crane arrangement, and in particular to such a manoeuvring seat arrangement that comprises of a seat intended for an operator with a back support that is attached to it; a number of control levers that are readily accessible for the operator's hand or hands, in order through these to influence one or several valve units that are components of a hydraulic system for the influence of and the control of one or several piston-cylinder arrangements that are components of the crane arrangement, in order, among other operations, to be able manoeuvre arms that are related to the crane arrangement; and a protecting rail that partially surrounds the operator.
Background to the Invention
Methods and arrangements with the properties described above are known in a number of different embodiments.
Such manoeuvring seat arrangements related to crane attachments, having the properties described in the introduction, and which are fixed attached, by bolted joints, via a holding unit to the upper section of a pillar that is a component of a crane arrangement mounted onto a lorry can be mentioned as a first example of the prior art and the technical area to which the invention relates.
Such an arrangement is shown in more detail and described in Figure 1 in a Swedish patent application entitled "A Holding Unit Related to a Crane Arrange- ment", which has today been submitted by the present applicant. This patent application is to be regarded as a part of the present application.
It can be mentioned as a second example of the background to the invention and the technical area to which the invention relates that manoeuvring seats or "chairs" are used for the application described above which are either open, in which case they consist in principle of a seat with a back support that is attached to it and a protecting rail that partially surrounds the operator; or are closed, such that the manoeuvring seat is fully enclosed within a cabin.
The present invention primarily relates to an embodiment that can be related to an open manoeuvring seat. Description of the Present Invention
Technical Problems If the situation is considered that the technical evaluations that one skilled in the arts must carry out within the relevant technical area in order to be able to offer a solution to one or several of the technical problems that are posed, are not only an initial necessary insight into the measures and/or the sequence of measures that are to be taken, but also a necessary choice of the means that are required, then the following technical problems should be, with respect to this, relevant during the development of the present invention.
When considering the prior art, as has been described above, therefore, it should be possible to regard as a technical problem the ability to realise the significance of, and the advantages associated with, being able to propose a manoeuv- ring seat arrangement or a chair that is to be built from a low or few number of parts and in this way create the conditions required for creating a light but stable construction.
Thus, there lies a technical problem in the ability to realise the significance of, and the advantages associated with, proposing a manoeuvring seat that is principally constructed from tube structures, in particular one, or preferably two, endless tube structures.
Thus, there lies a technical problem in the ability to realise the significance of, and the advantages associated with, allowing a seat and the said back support to be partially surrounded by the said tube structures, forming the said partially surrounding protecting rail and which conceptually, in order to aid understanding, can be regarded as being divided into a number of tube sections or tube pieces.
Thus, there lies a technical problem in the ability to realise the signifyca- nce of, and the advantages associated with, allowing the said protecting rail to be constituted by an upper tube section or tube piece within an, upper, endless tube structure and where this upper tube structure has the form of a "U" with legs that diverge from the back section and pass and lie over the seat.
Thus, there lies a technical problem in the ability to realise the significance of, and the advantages associated with, allowing the legs to extend from the back section and past the seat, and where the free end sections of the legs are to be able, though a bend in each one, each to interact with one short downwardly pointing section of tube.
Thus, there lies a technical problem in the ability to realise the significance of, and the advantages associated with, allowing the said two short sections of the tube to be located outside of and to extend to within the vicinity of the said control lever or levers.
Thus, there lies a technical problem in the ability to realise the significance of, and the advantages associated with, allowing the said short, downwardly pointing, sections of tube to interact with a lower section of tube, with the form of a "U", with legs for this section of tube that converge towards the back section and that are located in the vicinity of and underneath the seat.
Thus, there lies a technical problem in the ability to realise the significance of, and the advantages associated with, allowing the upper section of tube to offer a subsection, in the form partially of a circular line, with which the diverging legs are to make contact.
Thus, there lies a technical problem in the ability to realise the significance of, and the advantages associated with, allowing this subsection, in the form partially of a circular line, to be located somewhat over a back support that is a component of the manoeuvring seat arrangement. Thus, there lies a technical problem in the ability to realise the significance of, and the advantages associated with, allowing the lower section to offer a straight subsection that is in the vicinity of the rear section of the seat, with which the converging legs are to make contact.
A technical problem also lies in the ability to realise the significance of, and the advantages associated with, allowing the said lower tube section to support the seat and furthermore that an axis of rotation is located under the seat in order to be able to rotate the said lower tube section and the said upper tube structure relative to an underlying tube structure.
A technical problem also lies in the ability to realise the significance of, and the advantages associated with, allowing an angle of divergence to be chosen that lies between 50° and 70°.
It should also be possible to regard as a technical problem the ability to realise the significance of, and the advantages associated with, allowing the said upper tube section and the said lower tube section to be so oriented with an oblique relationship to each other and with a greater distance between the parts of the tube sections that are located in the vicinity of the back support.
Furthermore, it should be possible to regard as a technical problem the ability to realise the significance of, and the advantages associated with, allowing the value of the angle to be chosen between 10° and 40°.
A technical problem also lies in the ability to realise the significance of, and the advantages associated with, allowing the underlying tube structure to offer attachment means for a holding unit and/or to support one or several support surfaces adapted for a foot. A technical problem also lies in the ability to realise the significance of, and the advantages associated with, allowing the said underlying tube section to offer a section of tube or a piece of tube with a horizontal orientation and to propose upwardly directed converging sections of tube from this.
Thus, there lies a technical problem in the ability to realise the significa- nee of, and the advantages associated with, allowing an angle between the section of tube with a horizontal orientation and the said converging sections of tube to be selected to lie between 100° and 130°.
A technical problem also lies in the ability to realise the significance of, and the advantages associated with, allowing the section of tube with a horizontal orientation to be given the form of two sections of tube, with the form of a "U", with legs that lie close to each other interacting through a section that functions as an attachment to the upper part of the holding unit.
A technical problem also lies in the ability to realise the significance of, and the advantages associated with, allowing the sections of tube that have the form of a "U" each to be able to support a support surface adapted for a foot.
The Solution
The present invention thus is based on the prior art described in the introduction where a manoeuvring seat, related to a crane arrangement, is to comprise a seat with a back support that is attached to it, intended for an operator; one control lever or a number of control levers readily accessible for the operator's hand or hands, in order through these to influence one or several valve units that are components of a hydraulic system for influencing, operating and controlling one or several piston-cylinder arrangements, that are or constitutes components of the said crane arrangement, in order to, among other operations, control arms related to the crane arrangement. Furthermore, the manoeuvring seat is to comprise a protecting rail that partially is formed to surround the operator.
In order to solve one or several of the technical problems specified a- bove, the present invention proposes that the prior art is to be supplemented by allowing the said seat and the said back support to be partially surrounded by an endless tube structure, divided into a number of different tube sections.
In this connection, the invention proposes that the said protecting rail is to be constituted by an upper tube section, with the form of a "U", with its legs diver- ging from the back section and passing and located over the seat, and where the free end sections of the legs are each to interact with one short, downwardly pointing section of tube, whereby these sections of tubes are located outside of and in the vicinity of the said control lever or levers.
As suggested embodiments, falling within the scope of the basic idea of the present invention, it is proposed that the said short, downwardly pointing, tube sections are to interact with a lower section of tube, with the form of a "U", with its legs converging towards the back section and located in the vicinity of and underneath the seat.
Furthermore, it is suggested that the upper section of tube is to offer a subsection, with a form that approaches that of a circular line, with which the diverging legs make contact.
Furthermore, it is proposed that the lower section of tube is to offer a straight subsection, with which the converging legs make contact.
The said lower section of tube is to support the seat and that an axis of rotation is located under the seat, in order to be able to turn the said lower section of tube and the said upper section of tube relative to an underlying tube structure.
Furthermore, it is proposed that the angle of divergence can be selected to lie between 50° and 70°.
Furthermore, it is proposed that the said upper section of tube and the said lower section of tube are to be oriented obliquely relative to each other and with a greater distance between the sections that are located in the vicinity of the back support.
It is an advantage if the value of the angle between the said upper and the said lower sections of tube is selected to lie between 10° and 40°. In this case, the underlying tube structure is to offer attachment means for a holding unit and/or for one or several support surfaces adapted for a foot.
The underlying tube structure offers a section or piece of tube that has a horizontal orientation, and converging sections of tube that are upwardly oriented re- lative to this.
The angle between the horizontally oriented section of tube and the said converging sections of tube is selected to lie between 100° and 130°.
The horizontally oriented section or piece of tube has here the form of two sections of tube, with the form of a "U", with neighbouring and opposing legs that interact through a section that serves as an attachment for the upper part of the holding unit.
The sections of tube, with the form of a "U", are each to support a support surface adapted for a foot.

The advantages that can primarily be regarded as characteristic for the present invention and the special significant features that are proposed by it are that there has in this way been created the conditions required in order to be able to offer a manoeuvring seat arrangement, related to a crane arrangement, comprising; a seat with a back support that is attached to it, intended for an operator; a number of control levers and a protecting rail that partially surrounds the operator, and in this way to offer a construction of the said manoeuvring seat arrangement with the aid of at least one, preferably two, endless tube structures, interacting with each other in a manner that allows rotation in order to be able to turn the upper tube structure and the associated seat and back support, that is attached to it, from a position that is adapted for the operator to a position in which it has fallen forward and is thus adapted for transport, and where the control lever or levers that are components of the manoeuvring seat arrangement will, in both of these positions, be protected by the upper tube structure and the back support.
The most significant features of the present invention, are specified in the characterising part of the attached claim 1. Brief Description of Drawings
A currently suggested embodiment, offering the particular significant characteristics that are associated with the present invention, will now be described in more detail, for the purpose of exemplification, with reference to the attached dra- wings in which:
Figure 1 shows a side view of a manoeuvring seat, related to a crane arrangement, that is attached through a holding unit to a pillar that is a component of said crane arrangement, Figure 2 shows a frontal view of the arrangement according to Figure 1 , Figure 3 shows a side view of a manoeuvring seat composed of two tube structures, and, Figure 4 shows a perspective view of the manoeuvring seat according to
Figure 3.
Description of the Embodiment Suggested Here
It should initially be made clear that we have selected terms and a special terminology in the subsequent description of an embodiment suggested at the present time that offers the significant characteristics associated with the invention and that is described in the figures shown in the attached drawings, in order, primarily, to make clear the innovative concept of the invention.
It should, however, be taken into consideration in this context that the expressions selected here are not to be seen as limiting to only the terms selected and used here, but it is rather to be understood that each such selected term is to be interpreted such that it additionally covers all technical equivalents that act in the same manner, or in essentially the same manner, in order in this way to achieve the same intention and/or technical result, or essentially the same intention and/or technical result. With reference to Figure 1 , the basic conditions for the present invention are shown schematically there, and the significant features associated with the invention are there exemplified, through an embodiment suggested at the present time and described in more detail below. Thus, Figure 1 shows a holding unit 10 related to a crane arrangement adapted such that it can support a chair 11 intended for an operator of the crane arrangement 1.
The said holding unit 10 is fixed attached, while remaining easy to remo- ve, to a pillar 1 c related to the crane arrangement, whereby the lower end section 1 d of the said pillar 1c interacts via a vertical axis of rotation in a manner that allows rotation, in a known manner, with a base structure 1e.
A horizontal line of rotation between the lower end section 1d of the pillar 1c and the base 1e has been assigned the reference numeral 1f. An attachment point 10a for the holding unit 10, related to the pillar, is located in the vicinity of the lower end section 1d.
The said holding unit 10 is arranged such that it supports at its upper end section 10b the said chair 11 and a manoeuvring seat arrangement 30 related to the chair. Figure 1 shows that the chair 11 adopts a position, via the design and structure of the holding unit 10, at a distance from the upper section 1c' of the pillar.
With reference to Figure 2, it is there made clear that the holding unit comprises two arm sections 10c, 10c', one on each side of the pillar 1c, and that the holding unit 10 in this way forms a separate unit that primarily consists of two straight arm sections.
The arm sections 10c and 10c' interact with each other primarily through a centrally located central or intermediate piece 10d, but they can also be united through a connection piece 10e that connects the upper end sections 10b.
The centrally located central piece 10d is adapted to support one or se- veral valve units 12, which are hidden by the pillar 1c in Figure 2, while being suggested or shown somewhat in Figure 1.
The connecting piece 10e is included as part of, or is adapted such that it can through a means hold, a chair 11 for the operator.
The attachment point 10a related to the pillar has the form of a clamp joint.
A bolted joint, related to the clamp joint, can be adapted to extend under an attachment "B1" (see Figure 1) related to the pillar for a hydraulic piston-cylinder arrangement. The chair 1 1 is fixed, while being easy to remove, to the upper end section 10b of the holding unit 10 through fixing means, such as a two-piece connector, not shown in detail in the drawings.
With reference to Figure 3, a side view of a manoeuvring seat arrange- ment 30, related to a crane arrangement, is shown there, while a perspective view of the said manoeuvring seat is shown in Figure 4.
The manoeuvring seat 30 comprises a chair 11 , in the form of a seat 31 intended for an operator, with a back support 32 attached to it.
With reference to the drawings, it is clear that the complete manoeuvring seat arrangement with the seat 11 principally consists of two endless tube structures 35 and 37
The first, or upper, tube structure 35 is constituted by an endless stretch of tube that is bent at several locations, and that will conceptually be divided into individual sections of tube in the following description, in order to aid understanding. The second, or lower, tube structure 37 is also constituted by an endless stretch of tube that is bent at several locations, and that will conceptually be divided into individual sections of tube in the following description, in order to aid understanding.
It is apparent that the various sections of tube pass into each other with- out joints.
Furthermore, a number of control levers 40, 41 , readily accessible to the operator's hands are proposed, in order to influence through these levers one or several valve units 12 that are components of a hydraulic system for influencing and controlling one or several piston-cylinder arrangements that are components of the said crane arrangement in order to, among other functions, manoeuvre arms related to the crane arrangement.
The present invention thus proposes that the said seat 31 and the said back support 32 are partially surrounded by a tube structure, denoted under as an "upper tube structure" or a "first tube structure". The drawings make it perfectly clear that the first tube structure 35 is constituted by a number of straight sections and bent sections, connected together to form an endless form, while this division into sections is only intended to make clear the features of the invention. A protecting rail 33 is constituted by an upper section 35a of tube, in the shape of a "U", with legs 35b, 35c that diverge from the back section 32 and extend past and over the seat 31.
The free end sections 35b', 35c' of the legs 35b and 35c each interact with a short, downwardly pointing section 35d, 35e of tube and that these sections 35d and 35e are located outside of and in the vicinity of the said control lever or levers 40, 41.
The said short, downwardly pointing, sections 35d, 35e of tube interact with a lower section 35f of tube, with the shape of a "U", with legs 35g and 35h that converge towards the back section 32 and pass under and in the close vicinity of the seat 31.
The upper section 35a offers a subsection 35i, close to the back section, with a form that is partially a circular line, with which the diverging legs 35b, 35c make contact. The lower section 35f offers a subsection 35j, close to the back section, with which the converging legs 35g, 35h make contact.
The said lower sections 35g, 35h of tube support the seat 31 and an axis of rotation 36 is located under the seat 31 , in order to be able to turn or rotate the said lower section 35f of tube and the said tube structure 35 relative to an underlying tube structure 37.
The angle of divergence "a" has here been chosen to lie between 50° and 70°, for example approximately 60°.
In particular, it is proposed that the said sections 35a and 35f of tube have an oblique orientation relative to each other with a greater distance between the sections that are located in the vicinity of the back support 32.
The value of the angle "b" has been chosen to lie between 10° and 40°, for example approximately 20° - 30°.
The underlying tube structure 37 offers special attachment means for a holding unit 10 and/or for one or several support surfaces 37a, 37b adapted for a foot.
The underlying tube structure 37 offers a section or piece 37c of tube, with a horizontal orientation, and from this sections 37d and 37e of tube point upwards and converge, with an angle "c" between the section 37c of tube with a horizontal orientation and the said converging sections 37d, 37e of tube, that has been chosen to lie between 100° and 130°, for example approximately 110° - 120°.
The section 37c of tube with a horizontal orientation has the form of two sections 37f, 37g, having the shape of a "U", with closely lying legs that interact through a section 37h of tube that serves as attachment for the upper part 10b of a holding unit 10.
It particular, it is apparent that the sections or tube, with the shape of a "U", each support a support surface 37a, 37b adapted for a foot.
Naturally, the invention is not limited to what has been described above, such as, for example, the specified embodiments. The invention can be subject to modifications within the framework of the innovative concept as illustrated by the attached claims
Special attention should be paid to the fact that each unit shown can be combined with each other unit shown within the framework in order to be able to achieve the desired technical function.

Claims

1. A manoeuvring seat arrangement, relating to a crane arrangement, comprising a seat intended for an operator with a back support that is attached to it; a control lever or a number of control levers that are readily accessible for the operator's hand or hands, in order through these to be able to influence and activate one or several valve units that are components of a hydraulic system for the influence of and the control of one or several piston-cylinder arrangements, that are components of the said crane arrangement, in order, among other operations, to manoeuvre arms related to the crane arrangement; and a protecting rail that partially surrounds the operator, characterised in that the said seat (31) and the said back support (32) are partially surrounded by a first tube structure (35), divided into a number of sections, that the said protecting rail (33) is constituted by an upper section (35a), with the shape of a "U", with legs (35b, 35c) diverging from the back section (32) and past the seat (31) and with the free end sections (35b', 35c') each interacting with a short, downwardly pointing section (35d, 35e) of tube, and that these sections are located outside of and in the vicinity of the said control lever or levers (40, 41).
2. A manoeuvring seat according to claim 1 , characterised in that the said short, downwardly pointing, sections of tube interact with a lower section of tube, with the shape of a "U", with the legs converging towards the back section (32) and located in the vicinity of and under the seat.
3. A manoeuvring seat according to claim 1 , characterised in that the upper section of tube offers a subsection, with a form close to that of a circular line, with which the diverging legs make contact.
4. A manoeuvring seat according to claim 2, characterised in that the lower section of tube offers a straight subsection with which the converging legs make contact.
5. A manoeuvring seat according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the said lower section of tube supports the seat and that an axis of rotation is located under the seat in order to be able to rotate the said lower section and the said tube structure relative to an underlying tube structure (37).
6. A manoeuvring seat according to claim 1 , characterised in that an angle of divergence has been chosen between 50° and 70°.
7. A manoeuvring seat according to claim 1 , 2 or 6, characterised in that the said upper section and the said lower section are oriented obliquely relative to each other and with a greater distance between the sections located in the vicinity of the back support.
8. A manoeuvring seat according to claim 7, characterised in that the value of the angle has been chosen between 10° and 40°.
9. A manoeuvring seat according to claim 5, characterised in that the underlying tube structure offers attachment means for a holding unit and/or one or several support surfaces adapted for a foot.
10. A manoeuvring seat according to claim 9, characterised in that the underlying section of tube offers a section (37c) of tube with a horizontal orientation, and offers converging sections of tube that are upwardly pointing from it.
11. A manoeuvring seat according to claim 10, characterised in that the angle between the section of tube with a horizontal orientation and the said converging sections of tube is chosen between 100° and 130°.
12. A manoeuvring seat according to claim 10, characterised in that the section of tube with a horizontal orientation has the form of two sections of tube, each with the shape of a "U", with closely located legs interacting through a section of tube that serves as an attachment for the upper part of a holding unit.
13. A manoeuvring seat according to claim 9 or 12, characterised in that the sections having the form of a "U" each support a support surface adapted for a foot.
