Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Anpassung der Datenrate eines Datenstroms in einer Kommunikationsvorrichtung, bei dem: der Datenstrom in zumindest einen Datenblock unterteilbar ist, welcher zu übertragende Übertragungsbits enthält; die Übertragungsbits durch einen Codiervorgang aus informationstragenden Eingangsbits gebildet werden; bei dem zur Anpassung der Datenrate aus einem Datenblock des Datenstroms bestimmte Übertragungsbits entfernt (punktiert) werden, bei dem; durch ein Punktierungsmuster vorgegeben wird, welche Übertragungsbits zu entfernen sind; und das Punktierungsmuster derart ausgelegt ist, dass bevorzugt Übertragungsbits entfernt werden, die über den Codiervorgang von wenigen Eingangsbits abhängen. Des weiteren betrifft die Erfindung eine entsprechende Kommunikationsvorrichtung.
