Cytochrome P450 have been shown to be involved in the liver toxicity (Anundi I, Lindros KO, Pharmacol Toxicol 1992; 70;453-458). Participation of CYP 450 dependent oxidation of drugs including anti-tubercular drugs rifampicin, isoniazid, pyrazinamide in liver is reported ( Ono et al, Biol Pharm Bull 1998:21 :421-425).
