Abstract

Bei einem Verfahren zum Dämpfen von Druckstössen von in einer Flüssigkeitsleitung (3) strömenden Flüssigkeiten (24), z.B. einer biologisch gefährdeten Flüssigkeit, sowie zum Reinigen, insbesondere zum Sterilisieren, der Flüssigkeitsleitung (3), wird die Flüssigkeit bei Auftreten von Druckstössen in einen mit der Flüssigkeitsleitung (3) kommunizierenden gasgefüllten Raum ausweichen gelassen. Um neben einer ausgezeichneten Dämpfung der Druckstösse eine einfache und wenig zeitaufwendige Reinigung der Flüssigkeitsleitung (3) zu ermöglichen, ist der gasgefüllte Raum von einer Bypass-Leitung (7) zur Flüssigkeitsleitung (3) gebildet und wird a) zur Dämpfung von Druckstössen in der Bypass-Leitung (7) ein Gaspolster aufrecht erhalten und ein Strömen von Flüssigkeit durch die Bypass-Leitung (7) verhindert, b) zur Reinigung der Flüssigkeitsleitung (7) ein Reinigungsmedium sowohl durch die Flüssigkeitsleitung (3) als auch durch die Bypass-Leitung (7) geleitet und c) nach der Reinigung der Flüssigkeitsleitung (3) das Reinigungsmedium aus der Bypass­-Leitung (7) entfernt, vorzugsweise mittels eines Gases, verdrängt und wiederum ein Gaspolster in der Bypass-Leitung (7) aufrecht erhalten.
