Abstract

Beschrieben wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Tensidalkoholen und Tensidalkoholethern durch Derivatisierung von Olefinen mit etwa 10 bis 20 C-Atomen oder von Gemischen solcher Olefine und gegebenenfalls anschliessende Alkoxylierung. Das Verfahren weist als Merkmale auf, dass man a) ein C4-Olefin-Gemisch mit einem Verhältnis 1-Buten/2-Buten von ≥ 1,2 einer Metathese unterwirft, b) aus dem Metathesegemisch Olefine mit 5 bis 8 C-Atomen abtrennt, c) die abgetrennten Olefine einzeln oder im Gemisch einer Dimerisierung zu Olefingemischen mit 10 bis 16 C-Atomen unterzieht, d) das erhaltene Olefingemisch, gegebenenfalls nach einer Fraktionierung, der Derivatisierung zu einem Gemisch von Tensidalkoholen unterwirft und e) gegebenenfalls die Tensidalkohole alkoxyliert. Das bei der Dimerisierung erhaltenen Olefingemisch enthält einen hohen Anteil verzweigter Komponenten und weniger als 10 Ges.-% von Verbindungen, die eine Vinylidengruppe enthalten. Beschrieben wird ferner die Verwendung der Tensidalkohole und Tensidalkoholether zu Tensiden durch Glycosidierung oder Polyglycosidierung, Sulfatierung oder Phosphatierung.
