  • the planar member 2, the flanges 3, the upturned edge 15, the strengthening rib 18 and the flanges 7 are provided as a unitary construction.

  • the magnetic strips 21 are shown below platform 2 which is preferred but the strips could be embedded in the platform, or cut into grooves on the top or lower face of the platform 2.
  • Figure 5 shows in Figure 5 where strips 21 are provided on the flanges 3 and ruler 20 has downturned ends 22 to co-operate magnetically with strips 21. Again the strips 21 can be inside or outside flanges embedded or placed into grooves. The magnetic strips could be separately supplied for a user to place on the platform.

Material to be copied, read or annotated can be placed on the planar member 2, but the keyboard is substantially visible through the substantially planar member 2.
  • the height of the platform is such that the keyboard may still be used in a substantially normal manner by extending the fingers of the user below the substantially planar member 2.
  • the height of the platform and the angle thereof is adjustable by use of the bolts 6.
  • a platform which will enable material to be written, ruled, marked or otherwise worked on to be placed in a convenient position above a keyboard, the use of which will allow the work to be performed in an ergonomic body position - both keying and writing. This is advantageous.
