Abstract

Ein Lichtwellenleiterkabel weist mehrere Bündel (19, 24, 31) von Lichtwellenleitern (20, 25, 32) auf, wobei jedes Bündel (19, 24, 31) eine vorgegebene Anzahl Lichtwellenleiter (20, 25, 32) umfasst, sowie einen eine Kabeloberfläche bildenden Mantel (21, 26, 33). Konzentrisch zum Mantel (21, 26, 33) ist eine Hülle (22, 27, 34) derart angeordnet, dass eine Außen-fläche der Hülle einer Innenfläche des Mantels gegenüberliegt, wobei die Hülle (22, 27, 34) aus einem amorphen thermoplastischen Material gebildet ist, die Bündel (19, 24, 31) von Lichtwellenleitern umschließt und eine Zugentlastungs- und Stützfunktion übernimmt.
