Abstract

The invention relates to a micro-recess array for size-dependent sorting or separation of cells suspended in a flowing medium in individual reaction chambers, and to a method for analysing the functional activity of individual cells which are separated by said micro-recess array. The micro-recess array is characterised in that it comprises a cell array made of a microstructured solid phase with a plurality of recesses (10).
