Abstract

La présente invention concerne une matrice de découpe (1) qui présente une forme de base polygonale et qui est conçue pour usiner des pièces par enlèvement de copeaux. Cette matrice présente une pluralité de bords de découpe (5a-5h) répartis sur la périphérie (4), une surface de couverture (2) formant une face de coupe, un axe central (M) et plusieurs faces de dépouilles (6a-6h) respectivement associées à un bord de découpe (5a-5h). Au moins un bord de découpe (5a-5h) qui se trouve dans un plan parallèle à la surface de couverture (2) est courbé de manière convexe vers l'extérieur par rapport à l'axe central (M) sur au moins une partie de sa longueur totale (L). Une face de dépouille de transition (7a-7h), qui s'étend entre ce bord de découpe (5a-5h) et la face de dépouille (6a-6h) associée à celui-ci, se trouve sur la face opposée à l'axe central (M) du plan de face de dépouille (FEa-FEh) défini par la face de dépouille (6a-6h).
