Abstract

L'invention concerne des informations transmises entre deux partenaires de liaison (10,20) en tant qu'ensembles ordonnés selon une séquence (Sequence Ordered_Sets) ou qu'ensembles ordonnés selon un signal (Signal Ordered_Sets) dans un canal de fibre (18) ou dans XGMII. De tels ensembles sont définis pour ne pas être amendés par l'intervention de PHY, et peuvent être transmis même si il n'y a pas d'autre trafic entre les partenaires de liaison. Ces informations transmises peuvent être des informations de congestion dans une situation dans laquelle il existe un fort trafic dans une direction entre les partenaires de liaison (10, 20) et peu ou pas de trafic dans l'autre direction.
