Abstract

A miniature zoom lens system for use in portable digital multifunctional devices or extremely small digital cameras is described including a first group (111) of lenses with at least two lenses being axially separated by a fixed invariant distance and a second group (112) of lenses, forming together an optically compensated zoom system, and a drive unit adapted to move said second of lenses but not the first group thereby mechanically compensating for small variations of the focus.
