Abstract

Small zoom lens capable of carrying out focusing through manual operations in autofocus mode. The zoom lens apparatus includes a variator lens unit (V), an object-side focus lens unit (F1) located closer to the object than the variator lens unit, and an image plane-side focus lens unit (F2) located closer to the image plane than the variator lens unit. Driving of the object-side focus lens unit by manual operations is enabled when the autofocus mode is active.
