Abstract

The invention concerns a greasy ointment of animal origin for relieving skin itching and irritation caused by dermatitis, atopic eczema and psoriasis, skin dryness and hyperkeratinosis. Existing ointments and creams consist mainly of plant and/or mineral constituents. Said ointment is different from others by its animal constituents: 90 to 95 % of lipids (triglycerides) derived from duck internal subcutaneous fat and 5 to 10 % of polyunsaturated fatty acids (omega 3) and vitamins A, D and E derived from cod liver oil. It does not contain any constituents known for their secondary effects. Its easy absorption by the skin enables fast relief of the symptoms of said diseases while gradually enhancing skin condition.
