Abstract

The present invention provides: an inexpensive long and roll-form high-performance polarizing plate excellent in the smoothness and difficult to deteriorate due to exterior light, which comprises an obliquely stretched polarizing film capable of improving the yield in the step of punching out a polarizing plate; a production method of the polarizing plate; and a liquid crystal display using the polarizing plate. The long polarizing of the invention plate in a roll form comprises a polarizing film wherein the absorption axis of the polarizing film is neither parallel nor perpendicular to its longitudinal direction, the polarization degree is 80% or more at 550 nm, the single plate transmittance is 35% or more at 550 nm.
