Abstract

The invention relates to a dual sun visor, side and front, which is intended for vehicles. The inventive sun visor is characterised in that it comprises two sun visors which are connected to form a single structure, the smaller of said visors being embedded in the larger visor. Both of the aforementioned visors can move freely horizontally and vertically by means of hinges which are provided on the metal frames thereof. When deployed, the small visor can cover the side part of the vehicle and, when folded, said visor can cover the front part of same. Said small visor comprises a rectangular, laminated plastic section which is provided with two aligned, oval holes. A central rod, which is connected to the main hinge and to the opposite part of same, is inserted into the aforementioned holes, thereby forming the movement shaft and reinforcing the function of the large or main visor, namely to cover the front part of the vehicle.

Description

PARASOL DOBLE : LATERAL FRONTAL PARA COCHES DOUBLE PARASOL: FRONT SIDE FOR CARS
OF THE INVENTION The present invention, as expressed in the statement of this specification, refers to a new type of sun visor for vehicles that has been conceived and carried out in order to obtain significant advantages, both in safety as well as in comfort in the driving of vehicles, compared to other previously existing parasol devices. The device is designed so that users of motor vehicles are also protected from light and solar radiation both from the front and from the side of the vehicle. For this, the device has a system consisting of two pieces, one of which (smaller) is partially integrated in the other, being able to modify its position by having a tilting shaft mounted on the base of the larger piece, and can be placed on the side of the head of the driver or passenger of the vehicle. In this way, the correct protection of the driver and passenger in relation to sunlight is guaranteed.
ANTECEDENTES DE LA INVENCIÓNBACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The existence of the parasol dates back to the very beginning of the automobile industry.
There are numerous models of sun visor on the market, each adapted to the physical characteristics of the car model to which it is intended. Initially, the sunshade devices were fixedly mounted on the upper front inside of the vehicles. Soon the need to provide them with mobility was demonstrated, holding them only at one end, this being tilting.
The reason for this modification was the constant mobility of the driving position with respect to the perspective of the Sun's position. The road modifies its layout, orientation and leveling frequently and because of this the light penetrates the cabin differently at each moment. .
If the device is fixed, it will only protect us at certain times; that is, when the light is perpendicular to the windshield of the vehicle.
If the device is mobile, it allows us to modify its position and adapt it to the specific protection needs that may arise.
However, this innovation, which undoubtedly improved the previous devices, has some drawbacks worth bearing in mind:
I- Driving in conditions of full sunlight with this device means to be anticipating the displacements made by the path with respect to the Sun to change the position of the lens hood.
If step I is not done in advance, we run the risk of being momentarily blinded by the Sun, with the consequent risk of an accident. If we add to the glare we add the necessary attention to change, at that precise moment, the position of the sun visor, we are considerably increasing the risk, since we still distract more our attention to the road.
Even when we do step 1 in advance, we still run a considerable risk of accident since the change of position maneuver implies in many cases a loss of frontal vision, which although momentary, can sometimes have dire consequences. rV- The risk of glare may not come from the driver's side, but from the passenger's side. In this way the protection would be subject to the presence in the vehicle of a companion that at some point changed the position of the device.
If there were no companion we would have two options: One would be to modify the position of the sun visor from the driver's seat with the vehicle running, resulting in a loss of attention to the road with the usual risk of accident. The other option could be to stop the vehicle in the shoulder or rest area, to modify the position in safety conditions; which would imply a waste of time. Even so, both measures would not be entirely effective since this would have to be done constantly during the trip, being in the first case a constant exposure to the risk of accident.
The presented device tries to solve these inconveniences, thus contributing to comfort and driving safety.
The device of the invention has a novel structure that allows the anchoring of two parasols in it, whose appearance and configuration does not modify the current size or shape of those used in vehicles, being possible to adapt to them without having to make important modifications.
The device has two main parts: a supporting lens (external or larger), larger than the second, which behaves like the current parasols; that is, it is anchored to the roof or upper front of the vehicle by one of its sides by means of a tilting axle, the other side being anchored in a support from which it can be released to modify its position.
In its inner face; the one that gives to the ceiling in collected position, presents a mold for a second sunshade (internal or smaller) that is embedded in said hollow. This is capable of tilting towards the side of the vehicle due to an axis anchored in the external sunshade that serves as support.
While the external lens covers the front part of the windshield, the internal one can be removed and placed on the side.
Due to the placement of the axes in both parasols, it is possible to adjust in the correct position since the major can turn left and right and up and down, like the minor, complementing both in its final position.
In this way, in a single device we have covered the risk of both front and side glare without incurring the risks mentioned in the previous point, since its position can be adjusted before moving the car, being protected from now on. Both the safety and the comfort of the driver and passengers are greatly improved, without undermining the aesthetics or the current finishes of the vehicles. To help a better understanding of the given description, the present descriptive report of a set of drawings is attached, which will attempt to represent the characteristics of the device as faithfully as possible and thus be able to better observe the mentioned advantages.
