Technical Field
The present invention relates, in general, to an Internet advertisement system and method using design page and, more particularly, to an Internet advertisement system and method using design pages, which performs advertisement by databasing advertisement designs designed on the basis of design page frames provided by Internet service providers, presenting these advertisement designs to user terminals, and displaying desired advertisement designs on the user terminals in the form of design pages if users select them from the advertisement designs.
Background Art
The development of the speed and range of virtual space using the Internet is very fast. The range of technologies using the Internet extends to e- mails, communities, on-line games, electronic books, digital Televisions (TVs),
Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), mobile communications and the like.
The development of design technologies for various kinds of virtual space is one of main reasons for the technological development. In the case of home pages having been constructed using mostly text only a few years ago, home pages can be now implemented using three-dimensional images as well as various graphic environments. The development of design technologies for this virtual space results from people's cultural desires for the design environments of the virtual space. The cultural desires for agreeable environments intend to be applied to virtual space as well as real spaces. Meanwhile, various techniques have been developed for advertising in this virtual space. However, these advertisement techniques have negative effects on the users rather than positive effects when agreeableness in the environmental designs of the virtual space is considered.
Of presently used advertisement techniques, there are banner advertisements inserted in home pages, full page advertisements displayed on full screens, advertisements using the backgrounds of browsers (skin) and the like. Compensation for the environmental designs of the virtual space has been performed for these advertisements. However, the users' rights to select the design environments including advertisements have limitations, or are passively provided even though allowed to users, so that there is a problem in that user's sentiments on advertisements using the Internet is not positive.
Meanwhile, design pages have not been actively used in advertisements using the Internet. For example, in the case of community sites provided by Internet service providers, the frames of the community sites are designed by the Internet service providers for themselves and do not include advertisements. In the case of community frames, the designs of the community frames are always displayed to users through backgrounds for an extended time when using the menus, such as message boards, chat rooms or the like. Accordingly, if advertisements are displayed on design pages of the community frames, it is expected that adverting effects may be remarkably enhanced, but these types of advertisements have not been proposed until now.
Additionally, in the case of backgrounds including avatars used as cyber symbols in messenger or chat services, the avatar backgrounds are displayed to users other than the users themselves using the messenger or chat services for an extended time. Accordingly, it is expected that advertisement effects of avatar backgrounds using design pages will be remarkably enhanced, but these types of advertisements have not been proposed until now. Accordingly, the present invention has been made keeping in mind the above problems occurring in the prior art, and an object of the present invention is to provide an Internet advertisement system and method using design pages, which displays and advertises advertisement designs, which are designed by advertisers, in the form of design pages.
Another object of the present invention is to provide an Internet advertisement system and method using design pages, which allows users to select advertisement designs to be displayed in the form of design pages, thereby enabling the users to select the better design environments for themselves.
Additionally, another object of the present invention is to provide an Internet advertisement system and method using design pages, which gives rights to select advertisement designs to users, thereby improving the quality of advertisement designs and enabling the design environments of virtual space to be agreeable.
In order to accomplish the above object, the present invention provides an Internet advertisement system using design pages, the system being connected to an Internet service provider server for providing design page frames, an advertiser server for providing advertisement designs, and a user terminal for selecting an advertisement design from the advertisement designs using a design page via the Internet, including an Internet service provider DB for storing information of registered Internet service providers, a design page frame DB for storing the design page frames provided by the Internet service provider servers, an advertiser DB for storing information of registered advertisers, an advertisement design DB for storing the advertisement designs provided by the advertiser servers, and an advertisement design list transmission module for transmitting a list of the advertisement designs to the Internet service provider server, when the user terminal connects to the Internet service provider server and selects an advertisement design to be displayed in the form of the design page from the list of the advertisement designs.

Additionally, in order to accomplish the above object, the present invention provides an Internet advertisement method using design pages, including the steps of storing design page frames, in which advertisements designs are to be included, in a design page frame DB, storing advertisement designs designed on the basis of the design page frames provided by an Internet service provider server in an advertisement design DB, providing a list of the advertisement designs to a user terminal in response to a connection signal of the user terminal, the user terminal selecting one from the advertisement designs, and displaying the selected advertisement design in the form of a design page.
Additionally, the step of selecting further includes the step of storing the selected advertisement design at the user terminal.

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
1. Internet advertisement system using design pages
Hereinafter, an Internet advertisement system using design pages according to an embodiment of the present invention is described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
FIG. 1 shows the construction of the Internet advertisement system using design pages in accordance with the embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 1, in the Internet advertisement system using design pages according to the embodiment of the present invention, a main server 100, an Internet service provider server 200, an advertiser server 300 and a user terminal 400 are connected to the Internet.
The Internet service provider server 200 is the server of each of Internet service providers that provide a portal site service, which provides e-mail and community services, a digital TV service, a PDA service, and an electronic book service, a mobile service and the like. The Internet service provider server 200 provides design page frames to be used as advertisement design pages. The advertisement design pages are applied to community frames, avatar backgrounds, the initial screens for e-mails, management screens of personal files, and the backgrounds of e-mail messages or instant messages to be transmitted to another via e-mail or messenger services. Additionally, the advertisement design pages may be applied to all design pages to be capable of being managed by individuals or companies as the design pages using Internet services.
The advertiser server 300 can provide advertisement designs, which are freely designed on the basis of the design page frames provided by the Internet service provider server 200, to the main server 100. The advertisement designs are displayed on the user terminal 400 by a user, who connects to the Internet service provider server 200 in the form of design pages.
The main server 100 includes an Internet service provider DataBase
(DB) 110, a design page frame DB 120, an advertiser DB 130, an advertisement design DB 140, an advertisement design list transmission module 150, an advertisement design selection statistics calculation module 160 and an advertisement design selection statistics transmission module 170.
The Internet service provider DB 110 stores the registration information of Internet service providers registered on the main server 100 so as to take orders for advertisements on design pages, which the Internet service providers provide in the form of advertisement designs.
The Internet service providers design the standard and basic format of design pages, which are applied to advertisement designs, that is, design page frames. The design page frame DB 120 stores the design page frames provided from the Internet service provider server 200 to the main server 100.
The advertiser DB 130 stores the registration information of advertisers registered on the main server 100 in order to insert advertisements on design pages, which the Internet service providers provide in the form of advertisement designs.
The advertisers select one or more from the list of the Internet service providers and select one or more from the list of the design page frames, and design advertisement designs to fit the selected design page frames. The advertisement design DB 140 stores advertisement designs provided from the advertiser server 300 to the main server 100.
The advertisement design list transmission module 150 transmits the list of the advertisement designs to the Internet service provider server 200 when the user terminal 400 connects to the Internet service provider server 200, uses the services in which design pages are included and selects an advertisement design to use design pages designed to include advertisements therein. If a user selects a desired advertisement design from the transmitted list, the Internet service provider server 200 displays the selected advertisement design to the user terminal 400 in the form of a design page.
The advertisement design selection statistics calculation module 160 calculates the number of times the advertisement design is selected by the user terminal 400. The advertisement design selection statistics transmission module 170 transmits results calculated by the advertisement design selection statistics calculation module 160 to the advertiser server 300. The results, which are calculated by the advertisement design selection statistics calculation module 160 and transmitted by the advertisement design selection statistics transmission module 170, are provided for the purpose of consultation of the advertisement designs of the advertisers.
2. Internet advertisement method using design pages
Hereinafter, an Internet advertisement method using design pages according to an embodiment of the present invention is described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. FIG. 2 is a flowchart showing a process of storing design pages and advertisement designs in an Internet advertisement method using design pages in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIGs. 1 and 2, the Internet service provider server 200 connects to the main server 100 to take orders for advertisements at step SI 00. The main server 100 inquires whether the Internet service provider server 200 wants to register on the main server 100 to take orders for advertisements at step SI 02. If the Internet service provider server 200 does not want to register, the process is terminated. In contrast, if the Internet service provider server 200 wants to register and registers on the main server 100, the registration information of Internet service providers is stored in the Internet service provider DB 110 at step SI 04.
The Internet service provider server 200 provides the standard and basic format of design pages to be used as advertisement design pages, that is, design page frames, to the main server 100 at step SI 06. Thereafter, the main server 100 stores the design page frames in the design page frame DB 120 at step SI 08 and the process is then terminated.
The advertiser server 300 connects to the main server 100 to insert the advertisements at step S200. The main server 100 inquires whether the advertiser server 300 wants to register on the main server 100 to insert advertisements at step S202. If the advertiser server 300 does not want to register, the process is terminated. In contrast, if the advertiser server 300 wants to register and registers on the main server 100, the registration information of advertisers is stored in the advertiser DB 130 at step S204. The main server 100 provides the list of the Internet service providers to the advertiser server 300, and the advertiser server 300 selects Internet service providers by which advertisements are provided at step S206. Thereafter, the advertiser server 300 selects design page frames, in which advertisement designs are to be included, from the list provided by the main server 100 at step S208. The advertiser server 300 provides advertisement designs freely designed on the basis of the selected design page frames to the main server 100 at step S210. The main server 100 stores the advertisement designs in the advertisement design DB 140 at step S212 and the process is then terminated.
FIG. 3 is a flowchart showing a process of displaying advertisement design pages in the Internet advertisement method using design pages in accordance with the embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIGs. 1 to 3, the user terminal 400 connects to the Internet service provider server 200 at step S300. The main server 100 inquires whether the user terminal 400 wants to select advertisement design pages for its design pages at step S302. If the user terminal 400 does not want to select, the Internet service provider server 200 displays design pages without advertisements designed for them at step S304.
Meanwhile, if the user terminal 400 wants to select the advertisement design pages for design pages, the main server 100 transmits the list of the advertisement designs to the Internet service provider server 200 to help the selection of the user terminal 400 at step S306. The Internet service provider server 200 provides the list of the advertisement designs to the user terminal 400 at step S308. The user terminal 400 selects a desired advertisement design from the list of the advertisement designs provided at step S310. The selected advertisement design is stored in the user terminal 400 if a user downloads the selected advertisement design at step S311. The storing step is performed to avoid selecting design pages every time a user connects to the Internet service provider server 200. Thereafter, the Internet service provider server 200 displays the advertisement design selected by the user terminal 400 to the user terminal 400 using the design page at step S312.
The number of times the advertisement design is selected by the user terminal 400 is calculated and transmitted to the advertiser server 300 for the purpose of consultation of the advertisement designs of advertisers at step S314, and the process is then terminated.
3. Embodiments in the case of community frames and avatar backgrounds
Hereinafter, there is described an embodiment in which design pages, to which advertisements are applied, are community frames in the Internet advertisement system and method using design pages according to the present invention with reference to the accompanying drawings.
The Internet service provider server 200, which provides community services, registers on the main server 100 and provides design page frames.
FIG. 4 shows an example of design page frames provided at the step of providing design page frames in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 4, a design page frame 500 of a community frame provided by the Internet service provider server 200 is divided into design regions
502a and 502b and menu regions 504, 506, 508, 510, 512, 514 and 516. An advertisement design is inserted in the design regions 502a and 502b.
The menu regions include a self-menu 504, a community name 506, a main menu 508, a main banner 510, a message board 512, a sub-banner 514 and a sub-menu 516. The construction of the menu regions may be changed according to embodiments.
Advertisements of the same advertiser are inserted in the banners including the main banner 510 and the sub-banner 514, in order to coordinate with advertisement designs designed by the advertiser.
The advertiser server 200 registers on the main server 100, selects Internet service providers by which advertisements are included in design page frames, and then provides advertisement designs designed to fit the selected Internet service providers and design page frames. FIG. 5 shows an example of the advertisement design pages of community frames displayed at the step of displaying advertisement design pages in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 6 shows another example of the advertisement design pages of community frames displayed at the step of displaying advertisement design pages in accordance with another embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 5, the advertisement design of a community frame may be designed for the main purpose of informing users of the images of companies. Additionally, referring to FIG. 6, the advertisement design of a community frame may be designed for the main purpose of informing users of characters or events. Additionally, advertisements using design pages may be utilized in avatar backgrounds. FIG. 7 shows an example of advertisement design pages of avatar backgrounds displayed at the step of displaying advertisement design pages in accordance with another embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 8 shows another example of advertisement design pages of avatar backgrounds displayed at the step of displaying advertisement design pages in accordance with another embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 7, the advertisement design of an avatar background may be designed for the main purpose of informing users of the images of companies. Additionally, referring to FIG. 6, the advertisement design of an avatar background may be designed for the main purpose of informing users of characters or events.
As described above, although the Internet advertisement system and method using design pages according to the present invention have been described with reference to the embodiments, the present invention is not limited to the embodiments.
In the above embodiments, the main server 100 includes the Internet service provider DB 110, the design page frame DB 120, the advertiser DB 130, the advertisement design DB 140 and the advertisement design list transmission module 150. However, the Internet service provider server 200 may include a design page frame DB in which design page frames are stored and an advertisement design DB in which advertisement designs provided by the advertiser server 300 are stored, and the Internet service provider server 200 may directly display an advertisement design selected by the user terminal 400. Additionally, the main server 100 allows Internet service providers and advertisers to register thereon, and receives and stores design page frames and advertisement designs when the user terminal 400 connects to the Internet service provider server 200, and the main server 100 transmits the list of the advertisement designs to the Internet service provider server 200 and the Internet service provider server 200 provides the advertisement designs to the user terminal 400 in order to allow a user to select an advertisement design. However, in another embodiment of the present invention, the Internet service provider server 200 directly stores design page frames, receives advertisement designs from the advertiser server 300 and stores the advertisement designs, directly provides the list of the advertisement designs when the user terminal 400 connects to the Internet service provider server 200, and allows a selected advertisement design to be displayed in the form of a design page when the user terminal 400 selects the advertisement design.
Additionally, if the main server 100 provides the list of the advertisement designs, the Internet service provider server 200 provides the list of the advertisement designs to the user terminal 400, and an advertisement design selected by the user terminal 400 is directly displayed on the user terminal 400 through the Internet service provider server 200. However, in another embodiment, the advertisement design can be displayed on the user terminal 400 by the Internet service provider server 200 by way of the main server 100 that receives a selection signal of a user.
Additionally, the design page frame 500 includes banner advertisements in the frame, but the banner advertisements may not be included in the frame. Additionally, although the banner advertisements in the design page have been described as being designed by an advertiser identical with advertisers that design advertisement designs, the banner advertisements may be banner advertisements designed by another advertisers.
Additionally, the design pages include only the advertisement designs of advertisers, but may include partial designs designed by the Internet service providers and include partial designs directly designed by users.
Additionally, in the case of the design page of a community frame, an advertisement design is selected by the operator of a community, or each member of the community may select an advertisement design and display his/her own design page.
Additionally, in the case of the design page of a community frame, an advertisement design is included in the design frame and is not included in the menu frame, but the advertisement design may be included in the background of the menu frame. Additionally, if an advertisement design is selected using a design page at the user terminal 400, a user can receive compensation. The compensation is performed in such a manner as general points of Internet service providers or incentives from advertisers. Industrial Applicability
As described above, the present invention provides an Internet advertisement system and method using design pages, which advertises advertisement designs in the form of design pages, which are displayed for an extended time, and therefore broadens the scope of Internet advertisements, thereby enhancing advertisement effects by allowing users to recognize advertisements for an extended time.
Additionally, the present invention provides an Internet advertisement system and method using design pages, which allows users to select advertisement designs to be displayed in the form of design pages, thereby enabling the users to satisfy their desires for the better design environments for themselves.
Additionally, the present invention provides an Internet advertisement system and method using design pages, which gives rights to select advertisement designs to users, thereby improving the quality of advertisement designs and allowing the design environments of virtual space to be agreeable.

Claims

Claims
1. An Internet advertisement system using design pages, the system being connected to an Internet service provider server for providing design page frames, an advertiser server for providing advertisement designs, and a user terminal for selecting an advertisement design from the advertisement designs using a design page via the Internet, comprising: an Internet service provider DB for storing information of registered Internet service providers; a design page frame DB for storing the design page frames provided by the Internet service provider servers; an advertiser DB for storing information of registered advertisers; an advertisement design DB for storing the advertisement designs provided by the advertiser servers; and an advertisement design list transmission module for transmitting a list of the advertisement designs to the Internet service provider server, when the user terminal connects to the Internet service provider server and selects an advertisement design to be displayed in the form of the design page from the list of the advertisement designs.
2. The Internet advertisement system using design pages according to claim 1, further comprising: an advertisement design selection statistics calculation module for calculating the number of times the advertisement design is selected by the user terminal; and an advertisement design selection statistics transmission module for transmitting results calculated by the advertisement design selection statistics calculation module to the advertiser server.

An Internet advertisement system using design pages, the system being connected to an advertiser server for providing advertisement designs and a user terminal for selecting an advertisement design from the advertisement designs using a design page via the Internet, comprising: a design page frame DB for storing design page frames in which the advertisement designs are to be included; and an advertisement design DB for storing the advertisement designs provided by the advertiser servers; wherein the advertisement design selected by the user terminal is displayed on the user terminal in the form of the design page.
4. The Internet advertisement system using design pages according to any of claims 1 to 3, wherein the design page is one of a community frame, an avatar background, an initial screen for e-mail, a management screen of a personal file, an e-mail background and an instant message background.
5. An Internet advertisement method using design pages, comprising the steps of: storing information of Internet service providers, having connected to and registered on a main server in an Internet service provider DB; storing design page frames provided by an Internet service provider server in a design page frame DB; storing information of advertisers having connected to and registered on the main server, in an advertiser DB; storing advertisement designs in an advertisement design DB, if the advertisement designs, which are designed to fit Internet service providers selected from a list of the Internet service providers provided from the main server to the advertiser server and design page frames in which the advertisement designs are to be included, are provided to the main server ; transmitting a list of the advertisement designs from the main server to the Internet service providers in response to a connection signal of the user terminal; providing the list of the advertisement designs from the Internet service provider server to the user terminal; selecting one from the advertisement designs at the user terminal; and displaying the selected advertisement design in the form of a design page.
6. The Internet advertisement method using design pages according to claim 5, further comprising the step of calculating the number of times the advertisement design is selected by the user terminal and transmitting calculated results to the advertiser server.
7. An Internet advertisement method using design pages, comprising the steps of: storing design page frames, in which advertisements designs are to be included, in a design page frame DB; storing advertisement designs designed on the basis of the design page frames provided by an Internet service provider server in an advertisement design
DB; providing a list of the advertisement designs to a user terminal in response to a connection signal of the user terminal; the user terminal selecting one from the advertisement designs; and displaying the selected advertisement design in the form of a design page.
8. The Internet advertisement method using design pages according to any of claims 5 to 7, wherein the step of selecting further comprises the step of storing the selected advertisement design at the user terminal.
9. The Internet advertisement system using design pages according to any of claims 5 to 7, wherein the design page is one of a community frame, an avatar background, an initial screen for e-mail, a management screen of a personal file, an e-mail background and an instant message background.
