Abstract

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf das Gebiet der Keramik und betrifft strukturierte Siliciumcarbidpartikel, die beispielsweise in technischen Produkten zur Anwendung kommen können. Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es, strukturierte Siliciumcarbidpartikel anzugeben, die eine höhere spezifische Oberfläche aufweisen. Gelöst wird die Aufgabe durch strukturierte Siliciumcarbidpartikel in Form von Primär- und Sekundärpartikeln, bei dem die Sekundärpartikel morphologisch und strukturell der Morphologie und Struktur der Partikel des Ausgangsstoffes Kieselgur/Diatomeenerde entsprechen. Die Aufgabe wird weiterhin gelöst durch ein Verfahren, bei dem Kieselgur/Diatomeenerde mit einer Partikelgröße der Sekundärpartikel von 5 - 300 νm und Kohlenstoff in einen Reaktionsraum eingebracht werden und dort mit Aufheizgeschwindigkeiten von > 10 Ks-1 aufgeheizt werden. Und schließlich wird die Aufgabe gelöst durch die Verwendung der strukturierten Siliciumcarbidpartikel als Filtermittel für das Filtrieren von Fluiden.
