Abstract
Efficient transmission control is effected by eliminating difference in burst signal level among transmission lines. An optical power detecting means (11) detects optical power of a transmitted burst signal. A comparison means (12) compares the optical power with a reference level. A control signal generating means (13) generates a control signal for regulating optical power based on the comparison results. A control signal transmitting means (14) transmits a control signal. An optical power regulating means (21) regulates optical power variably based on the control signal. A burst signal transmitting means (22) transmits a burst signal having optical power regulated to a transmission controller (10).
