Abstract

The invention relates to a flexible guard that is intended to replace a cardboard ring which is disposed inside existing party streamer or confetti launchers. The inventive device takes the form of a chamber with a flexible base (7) which is inserted inside the body of the launcher (1). The edge of the chamber (5) is rigid and is provided with areas for connecting to the launcher. Said launcher employs a very small pyrotechnic device (2) which can be started by pulling on an external cord (3), thereby causing the flexible base of the chamber to bend. This sudden bending forces the contents, i.e. the streamers (9), to leave the chamber. All waste and debris from the pyrotechnic component are fully contained by means of the base of the chamber and said rigid fixing means. In this way, no loose pieces of card are forced out from inside the launcher and the primary objective of the invention is thereby fulfilled.
